Re: Delica HAP40/SUS410 TiCN with red G10 St. Nick's Knives Exclusive

Necro bumping this one because I just bought one new unused from a collector for 210€ shipped. Kinda steep but I had to have it. Anybody here still enjoying it? How is it holding up? It's my first laminated spy, curiosity killed the cat, then the color scheme buried it 6 feet deep apparently... Wel...

Re: Show your EDC

I've had a few Cold Steel folders in the past. Currently have a CTS XHP Hold Out 1 (6") and carry it occasionally. Loved the feel and ergos of the Large Voyagers (Tri-Ad). I've been thinking about getting another one or something similar, just less interested in folders lately and worried it w...

Re: Show your EDC

I’ve had a Tanto XL Voyager before and really liked the handle. The Vaquero could be fun to try out! You won't regret it man, I think it's the sliciest Voyager, with a very fine tip that can have a lot of uses. I really like the way the recurve traps material when cutting, and it also helps with th...

Re: Please help me identify this vintage Spyderco [Found: C56 Zowada]

Update, the guy has no box anymore, seems like I'll be able to snag it for 130. Sounds good to me?
I'll be definitely making a little review here on the forums as soon as I've been able to test it, it looks like this one is going to be one **** of a user.

The guy offered It to me for 170, do you think it's a good deal for such model and make? The knife is sold as collectors item, unused...

Bead blasted Micarta looks like that.
Oh it's even better then, I think it should be grippier when wet. I consider taking it fishing so that's good I guess.

Here's a closer shot. By the way it looks more like G10 rather than micarta, what do you think?

Re: Please help me identify this vintage Spyderco

I do intend to actually EDC this one, any weak spot or wear and tear to look out for in this model?
On another note, every C56 I see online is numbered and this one isn't, how so?
Edit: It appears that only the first 200 of the first run were numbered.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

There has been a sizable group of C-60 Ayoob fans who have been requesting a SALT version of this superb model for years now. I myself would also like to see an LC200N version of the C-60 at some point. It's been said on a few occasions that the C-60 does a decent job of filleting fish as well as o...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

The largest decision is which to carry in the woods. PE has the advantage skinning, and cleaner cuts. SE is a beast, it makes short work of cartilage, and tendons, and does fair skinning. Both are perfection. Your regimen is similar to mine. Two of my favorite Spyderco blades to take on a hunting o...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

So, A. It's not much of a flaw, if a flaw at all B. You can steepen the tip angle to get rid of it (but probably need a fixed guide system like a work sharp pro to do it accurately) a. it's absolutely a flaw. you've just adapted your usage to fit the flaw. finding a use for something that isn't rig...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I wanted to share this pic of a home made traditional knife made by an old local artisan near the the piemontese Alps, Mario Vernante. He made one for my father out of friendship because he's very very old now and doesn't do them anymore. https://i.imgur.com/uuOquH9.jpeg As you can see it has a nega...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I'd love to buy another one in SE but it's nowhere to be found here in EU. Lamnia website says it's going to be restocked this month but it's been like that since June so I'm not quite sure it's really going to be available

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Pulled a few feathers off some random ugly and knotty stick picked off the ground on a walk. https://i.imgur.com/lqMxWpv.jpeg Gotta say I'm really pleased about how I was able to blend the convex into the saber grind on this one. It seems like the previous versions were more of a true hollow grind a...
