Re: Show your mods!

Just got my AWT scales for my Native 5 Salt. Had them installed within 20 minutes of taking them out of my mailbox. Super easy. Absolutely love the way they look and feel. This has always been one of my favorites, but now it's at a whole new level. Have been looking for scales for my Native 5 and A...

Re: Titanium Tenacious

8cr is not what the market is interested in, simply based on the perception of the general public of 8cr being cheap and soft. Btw Larrin Thomas had an interesting video about 8cr recently. You don't need s90v on all knives, but 8cr is at the other part of the spectrum. Why not go with s30v? Spyderc...

Would love to check out REX-121 on that Sage 😎 The Techno 3 is interesting...It has a relatively small Spydie hole.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Thanks y'all, I've been expanding my TI collection. Looking to score a Demko AD20 full TI as my next acquisition. Although my funds are reserved at the moment for that S90V/CF Military 2. That is one of my dream knives for sure. Here's a SBD I have that is just a top tier specimen. Although I never...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Got myself a Chavez again. These Scapegoats are sick (and thick) and the blade is pretty slicey. https://i.imgur.com/8GuDmtL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/a1ZV1ig.jpg The blood is just heme from opening some ground beef. Very nice blade shape and good to see the screws are no longer visible on the clip!

Re: Lil Native slicing

Lil Native will work fine on cardboard, it punches above it's weight. If you want a laser beam go for a Chaparral, similar size and also a backlock. It's got a very thin blade.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Removed the flipper tab and tuned the pivot of the Spymyto. Besides the aesthetics, it is better in the hand. Action and detent are fine now.....just not slicey enough for my liking. Do love the green micarta!

Re: Help choosing gift

Spyderco actually has a great salt line up that are corrosion resistant, so great for going fishing! This links to Spyderco's website and the Salt line up. https://www.spyderco.com/?s=Salt The Manix 2 is a great EDC knife and has a salt version as well. Do check what the legislation of your state sa...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

Next mail call today is the Spymyto. I'm a sucker for green micarta so that's already a plus. The micarta and Ti scales are well done however, not a fan of the milling pattern on the Ti. Nice crowned blade but imo verry disappointing it's not a hollow grind but a beefy flat grind. Action and detent ...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

Took a bit of a gamble with this model as it's larger than my general preference. But the Endura crossed my path and my curiosity won as I wanted a K390 blade and something that can take a beating. The wharncliffe blade is a slicing beast! I have larger hands and there is more than enough handle len...

Re: Fixing Lock Rock in Seki FRN lockbacks

Just got the Endura 4 wharncliffe in K390. First thing I checked was the backlock. When I hold the blade and firmly press down it has the tiniest bit of lock rock. With normal use you will never notice it, even when pushing down hard so a non issues for me.

Re: Shaman thoughts

The Shaman is one of the best knives in terms of ergo's. Of course very subjective but for my hands the Shaman is great, including the finger choil. I love how it looks and how robust it is. Having said that, I sold mine about a month ago as it wasn't getting a lot of pocket time. I mainly carry mor...
