Re: Gotta rethink my hunting/gutting knife…S110V FAIL!
I did 3 deer without sharpening with my mule team in rwl 34. Cut the hind legs off any the ball joint (lots of scary edge to bone noises). Cut through the sternum all the way. And finally cut the heads off at the base of the skull. Lots of bone to edge contact. No chipping. No rolling. Shaving sharp...

Re: XL knives to look forward to
I wanna see a 8 inch folding Bowie with 1/4 inch stock and a beefed up bbl lock. Some sick competition to cold steel monster folders. Who’s with me?

Knife horror stories
When I was on the drilling rigs in northern Alberta I was the only one who carried a knife for day to day tasks such as cutting rope, bags of mineral powder, rags, sheet plastic and lids of 5 gallon buckets etc... One day we had a coil of cable that was wrapped with tape that needed to get cut. My d...

Re: MULE TEAM™ Future Predictions
At this point haven’t they covered most steel categories? I’d like to see a beefier mule to test toughness with more confidence. Maybe high saber grind. Thicker stock. Both

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
My cage has started to wear and does not have the bite that my new one does so I’m going to replace it with a titanium one. And maybe get titanium scales. There’s a guy who makes linerless titanium scales that lighten the knife a bit. That’s a practical upgrade if you ask me

Re: Pick One Favorite.
For me it’s the Province fixed blade. Great design for camping. Cpm 4v is a beast in a blade that size. Super tough with amazing edge retention. My only gripe is the blocky slippery handle.

Re: CPM Cruwear chipping?
With my factory edge cru wear pm2. I was cutting drywall. A bit of blunting. Nothing strip couldn’t fix. Then I hit a nail. Again, little blunting that I got back to shaving sharp with 10 passes on an Arkansas rod. Arkansas stone of all things lol

Re: Why don't you Baton?
Don’t baton a mule cause they are very thin and any lateral movement will likely snap them, no matter what steel. I snapped a PD1 (cpm cruwear) mule on a 2x4. I still baton them on straight grained wood while camping though , haven’t learned my lesson yet ;) That seems weird. I've got a lot of carb...

Re: MT22P - Mule Team Fixed Blade with RWL 34
It's funny, I had the opposite experience with the RWL 34 Mule. My 3 first edges were really chippy ! I'm on the 4th edge right now and it is already better. Still experience some micro-chipping from normal use, but it seems that there was a lot of fatigued steel there. I know RWL34 since it is oft...

The best martial arts for anyone is wrestling and jiu jitsu. I competed at a high level in jiu jitsu and had the opportunity to spar with many people types of people. World champs, heavyweights, lightweights, special forces, police, mma fighters, Olympian’s... the list goes on. A good base in wrestl...

Re: The Mule Thumb Ramp
My only 2 complaints are the ramp and hole. A manix style ramp would be very nice. My thumb slips off when I’m sweaty or field dressing and it’s kind of uncomfortable. The hole has caught sparks from a ferro rod and burned the heck out of my thumb. I don’t cover the hole anymore when I do that haha....

Re: MT22P - Mule Team Fixed Blade with RWL 34
Hi IXLER, I am impressed by both your test and your presentation. This is the kind of stuff we all like as feed-back , especially from materials that have not had an opportunity to do the "cut dance". Thanx much. sal I battoned with a steel hammer through 2x4s. It’s tough. It’s my main fi...

Try holding some in person if you can. I wanted a PM2 when I was looking for my first spyderco and ended up with a manix 2 cause it fit better in my hand
