Re: Favorite sci-fi movies?

I don't regret going to see 65, but I also don't feel the need to rewatch it. The last battle with the T-Rex was pretty 'meh'. That is disappointing, I was hoping that it would be more like Alien(s). I have high hopes for the new Mission Impossible movie. Tom Cruise is the only actor left that cons...

Re: Autonomy Spring Replacement Kit Review, takedown and button wear update

Excellent write up David. I guess I should look for a kit to stash away if or when I need it. They've gotten hard to find, have been out of stock for a while now. I can't imagine they're discontinued since both knives are still in production. I plan to grab a few kits when they're available again. ...

Re: Favorite sci-fi movies?

I saw The Thing prequel, and thought it was OK, as it did try to stay true to John Carpenter's The Thing. The problem, besides being far less subtle than Carpenter's film, is that the cast of the prequel did NOT look like people from the early 1980s, when it was set. They looked like post-2K people...

Re: Favorite sci-fi movies?

Saw it last week and liked it but was rather distracted so watched it again later and liked it again. It was directed by the same guy that did the Tomb Raider reboot with my girl Alicia Vikander! Overall, it was pretty good. It was anti-Christian, blatantly so, but the overall movie was pretty good...

Re: Favorite sci-fi movies?

Check out the trailer for "65" coming out in March. Might be good. :crossed-fingers https://youtu.be/bHXejJq5vr0 Trailers should be a teaser to tantalize your interest. Sadly, some trailers show best parts of the movie ending up with a disappointing experience at the theater. 65 does show...

Re: Autonomy Spring Replacement Kit Applicability

Add me to the list. South African owner of an Autonomy 2, it's my EDC knife. I am starting to think I shouldn't use it in case it breaks. I am headed to the USA beginning of August and was hoping to buy a spares kit and send to a buddy so I can bring it back. There will be no issue with just the pa...

Never say never.

If the claws were S30V and shaped more like the following I might be willing to buy a set.

I was in High school when Enter the Dragon came out. If I'm surfing the channels and I come across it, I will always watch it, it is a great movie.

Re: Kitchen Knife Shape Opinions

Well, I decided on a knife and bought a 165mm Yahiko Ginsan Nashiji Santoku, from Chef Knives To Go. Sharpest blade out of the box I have ever had! Beautifully thin, it just glides through most food. I used it for all the food prep I did for a big dinner last night and I am very satisfied. If there...

Re: Any hope of Plunge Lock versions of existing models?

I don't know enough about autos or the plunge lock to know what model could be successfully made as an auto, but I'd be interested in any of the models mentioned above if Spyderco were to make them. Yeah, me too. Especially the Shaman and now that I'm thinking about it, the Bodacious. Spyderco coul...

OK, I see your point, The Caribbean is a little longer, taller, with nice serrations, and a nice belly.

Re: Any hope of Plunge Lock versions of existing models?

A boy can dream right? I know it's not as simple as stuffing whatever lock you want into whatever knife you want, but I was daydreaming this morning about a few that I would really love if they were automatics like my Autonomy, particularly the Shaman and Caribbean. Man....a Plunge Lock Caribbean. ...
