Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Have a cutlery shoppe PM2 that should have already been delivered friday but Canada post seems to have done a half day on friday because of the holiday nobody else gets (only government employees) which is a piss off especially when its on the truck and would have been delivered in a few hours, now ...

Re: Knives capable of pikal style?
The P'kal is your best bet if you can find one, nobody has them in Canada as I have been looking for awhile now. There is fixed blades that are not spyderco that are specifically made for this style like shivworks clinch pick. I would feel odd using my smock in this way but due to the handle being n...

Re: Are We Witnessing The Death Knell of K390 In Production Folders?
Im really surprised they are getting rid of the Wharncliffe knives, I thought they were better sellers but I guess not, I cant say I liked the look of them at first but I grabbed the endura in K390 and its become my favorite blade over my PM2, Manix, Shaman etc. I really find it to be a great practi...

Re: Swayback purchase
Man, want this knife, have others on the way though, hopefully can grab one before they are gone, probably will as unlike all you lucky people in the US where it seems every dealer put everything on the new discontinued list on sale, none of the Canadian dealers did, still full price for everything ...

Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List
I think the K390 discontinuation says more about the edge and shape more than the steel. Looks like SE and Wharncliffes are the real losers here. Plain edge is staying around. So I am guessing SE and Wharncliffe blades are just not selling that well. I admittedly used to think they were strange loo...

Re: Griptilian
Have a sheepsfoot Griptilian so it has the spydie hole, its an excellent knife and good thickness for tougher jobs, its pretty lightweight with the grivory scales but feels cheap as the handle has the hollow feel because it is thick, but doesnt feel bad in the pocket because its not a super wide kni...

Re: Considering collecting M.Strider knives
Strider is quite the hot topic on other forums with the whole stolen valor issue, a lot of people upset about it so might be able to find some for less on the secondary.

My wharnie SE is a daily driver in my company truck https://i.postimg.cc/pd8w73P5/IMG-5347.jpg Where did you get these scales? Knife Custom Garage out of Moscow. Used to sell on Etsy until Russiaphobia forced him offline. Pavel is a super nice guy and does great work with micarta. https://www.insta...

Re: Is there a BYRD in your pocket??
Figured I'd pick one up just to see what they are about, I love my wharncliffe endura k390 so figured why not try a wharncliffe cara cara, for the price due to the 3 day sale I couldn't pass up, not expecting much from the steel compared to all my other knives which are all super steels aside from a...

Re: Canis question.
I never really thought about it as I haven't used mine much yet but I have a work sharp PA and don't think it would be an issue, I can remove the blade to sharpen it, the lack of a sharpening choil is more difficult IMO but that's all spyderco knives and ive managed to get around that

Re: PM 2 Cru Carta color
When I bought mine it was very light, after a couple weeks it darkened quite a bit just from oils on the hand, it actually looks better IMO. But if you ever like the look of it when new and lighter then apparently just using a toothbrush and some dawn soap will bring it back to the lighter colour

Re: Manix 2 ball cage lock on other knives!
I wondered this myself, the compression lock is great but coming from a lot of Benchmade knives when I handled the Manix I was suprised they don't do more knives with it. Also saw a video testing all their locks (think blade hq) and the ball cage lock was quite a bit stronger than the compression lo...

I'd love a PM2 wharncliffe that's production, these exclusives are amazing but frustrating that I can't get any in Canada without a risk of seizure.

Re: First PM2 question about Cruwear and Micarta
the micarta scales are getting darker just from regular use and carry but it actually looks pretty decent, I am so happy I grabbed this knife, absolutely love it. Its my first PM2 and now I am looking at either the DLC coated s45vn or the s110v version or possibly just getting a second cruwear versi...

Re: First PM2 question about Cruwear and Micarta
Well, I must thank you guys for your thoughts, yep...youtube guys nitpick, that cutout surprisingly does not bother me at all, it has nowhere near the flex people made it out to be, the guy on the video said he wasn't pressing hard but the amount he made it flex that's a lie, he had to be pressing p...
