Re: Condolences for your missed deals

I know the feeling of missing out on a rare model. I found a Tropen for a good price on KSF, but I slept on it as I wanted to see what deals were available at other retailers. I figured that no one else would be interested in the Tropen because of the exposed blade issue. Surprise, surprise, when I...

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail on Bristle Thistle Thanks! I thought that was a Monarch. Deep Creek Trail, St. Marks Lighthouse. Are you visiting or do you live in the area? I’m a reasonable drive from it. I'm in Tallahassee. During 2020 I spent a good bit of time down at the lighthouse and out along the...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I finally got a Hogue Deka. The blade is excellent. The factory edge is great, and the action is good. The plastic handle, though, is no bueno. Compared to the CF Elite handled Bugout, the Deka's poly handle is flimsy, slippery, and not as comfortable IMHO. One thing BM did is leave the liners expos...

If the OP doesn't mind expanding the question slightly, I'd like to also know if there are any additional CBBLs in the pipeline...
Same here. I love everything about the D'allara 3, but it's not easy for me to close. A CBBL would be 👍

Wow! So many cool photos. Peter1960, is that Austria?

This is the St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail in Florida.
It was early evening and the fog rolled in out of nowhere.

Re: What Knife Social Media?

I enjoy the YouTube knife channels. Two of the smaller channels I don’t see mentioned yet are Wayne's Sharp World and The Knife Beater.

DCA (Knife Center) is the best interviewer and is a phenomenal presenter.

Re: Integral Compression Lock Shaman?

I voted no. The compression lock is a selling point for me. Many companies do frame locks well; only one company does the compression lock. I would rather see the choil-less Shaman.

HH UKPK came in today. The handle and pocket clip nestle perfectly in my palm. I love it!

What's the closest lock back equivalent to the UKPK that doesn't use FRN? Anything with the same blade shape and a wire clip?

Re: Next Sprint Run target??

The C58 JD Smith in crucarta would be nice.

The C23 Renegade is going to be competing with the BM Taggedout and the Giant Mouse Jutland.

As a front-flipping liner lock, the C42 Howard Viele would be entering an extremely crowded market.

I ordered the D'Allara 3 on October 2nd for much less than Amazon's price. Paid with PayPal. Received it on Oct 5th. I'm a happy camper.
