Re: Siren - strange lock movement

My Siren has a date code of AV, and neither it nor the Sprint, which I also have, exhibits this issue. It's a wonderful knife. Hoping it comes back with Magnacut.

Re: Value folders

The Polestar (and her little sister Alcyone) are the sweet spot of all the Value options I've sampled. I have them both, as well as the Ambitious/Persistence/Tenacious, and the Byrd Cara Cara 2 & Meadowlark 2. They are all good choices at their respective prices, but if you can spend up to the P...

Carrying the LT3LW at home to break it in. Normally the beast would be a Shaman.

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review

Having disassembled mine I can say that yes, I imagine it was a difficult build. In hand it is perfect for what I was looking for, and I don't really need or want drop shut action on this knife. As it breaks in more I'm certain that a bit of a wrist flick will secure the blade. At home I usually ca...

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review

The maker said it was a very difficult model to make, and for him to say that, I'm guessing it's true. They've been making our knives since 1980. I worked with the Grand Father and the Father and Eric works with the son. I think we're fortunate to be able to bring the model to you. Sorry it's not p...

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review

Received mine yesterday and I've got pretty mixed feelings. On the plus side, I love the ergos and hand feel. It feels like it was made for my hand. Probably the sharpest out-of-the-box serrated edge Spydie I've ever had. I usually take my SE edges to the Sharpmaker almost immediately but I'm leavi...

Re: Cutleryshoppe Exclusive Native Chief, DLC CTS-XHP, Orange G10

Replacement from Cutlery Shoppe is excellent! Hand written note from Jeff and a $10 bill was included in the package...I guess to cover return shipping. Wow, I'm not accustomed to that sort of customer service. Nice knife! My first orange , my first Native, my first 4" blade, and my first line...

Re: Any planned new Ball Bearing Lock knives?

Cards on the table, above everything else I'd love to see an everyday carry knife with this ball bearing lock. Maybe even in a smaller Manix like elana86 has mentioned above. I'm relatively new to Spyderco, but a just under 3" Manix 2 would seem to be a great idea. I find the Manix 2 a bit off...

Re: Any planned new Ball Bearing Lock knives?

A lot of people passed on the Viele Phoenix Sprint because of the VG-10, and I'm glad they did because they were still available when I came along and got bitten by the Spyder. For me, the VG-10 is a great EDC steel - easy to sharpen and tough, and will hold an edge long enough to get me through any...

Re: Does you S.O. asks you this question?

I'm lucky, as my SO is a badass and has her own knives. She hasn't yet been won over by the form/function beauty of the Spydie aesthetic, but I'll get her there. I do catch her eyeing my Viele Phoenix Sprint on occasion. I bought her a pink G-10 Para3, but she laughed at me and said I should keep it...

Re: Cutleryshoppe Exclusive Native Chief, DLC CTS-XHP, Orange G10

But I am curious if any of you who got the Orange Native noticed unusually stiff and slow opening? It's got a long lock bar, so maybe this knife just has a lot of pressure on the blade? I got one a month ago and it was like butter out of the box. Almost scary how slicey that blade is. The Cutlery S...

A second N5LW in M4 from BHQ (gonna swap scales and have a blackout version in M4), an N5LW S110V from CS, and the DLT Para3 Black & Tan.

Ordered more Raman noodles, too. Cutting open my 25 cent dinner with a 150 dollar knife seems rational, right?

Right?

Re: Spyderco 2022 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Given Knifecenter's reputation on pre-orders (not great) and Sal mentioning that this won't be released until they tweak a few things that they found I would not drop your money there. While I agree, it says $0 down. When you add to cart the full $143.15 shows, looks like you are charged as normal ...

Re: Teal Ladybug

I grabbed one as soon as I saw it was full flat. I love it. S30V is a bonus. To those buying for kids, make sure they know how to check for full lock up. After less than a week in pocket on my keychain some pocket boogers got in between the blade and the lock bar and kept it from fully locking. Luck...
