Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?
The initial Mil2’s will be S30V, according to dealers’ product descriptions. Ugh... FFS Humor me here: how can you tell the difference between the two? Based solely on the 14 Spyders I currently own, S45 is a brighter steel, so there's the aesthetic of it for me. My PM2 has a much brighter, cleaner...

Re: Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
I think most people consider a forum to be social media. Just an early form of it. https://www.theadminzone.com/threads/are-forums-classed-as-social-media.138473/ There's a big difference in context, though. Yes, by that definition a forum is social media, but it goes deeper than that. Sal isn't us...

Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
At first I thought I was alone, one of the few people in the world NOT on social media (facebook, twitter, insta, etc.). I thought I was a rare breed, but I'm noticing more and more people lately are turning their noses up at all social media in general. With that said, who here is NOT on ANY social...

Just filled up my cart with a fake order for a fake dealer. Let that sit in their database for a few days so they can enjoy looking at it.

Re: PM2 exclusive alerts and the horrible app
I gave up using it as I had nothing but trouble. Then surprise a bunch of alerts came through. I reality I want the printed catalogue and reveals. They work better for us to discuss purchases. I feel both of your pain, and I do love printed catalogs as well for the same reasons. However, a [working...

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
Which model? Just the regular Manix. I only have one XL and it has great scales (Allen Putnam green) so I'm not too worried about that. When they come out with a decent sprint/exclusive XL in the future I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Fireside has some TeroTuf options. My 2nd favorite. htt...

Scales seem to be hard to come by these days... Anyone know a place that is in stock and has a good selection?

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
Any Manix I buy gets the exact same treatment: Cage upgraded to Ti, and scales replaced if they're blue or ugly. Nothing else! And since I blatantly refuse to EVER buy a LW, linerless, or riveted model, I never have to worry about drilling out for screws.

Re: Make salt/marine series even better
when you had it tip up in the back pocket, was the blade against the side of the pocket, or facing in? just curious. i can see it being a lot more likely for a knife to move around more in a back pocket, either way. that's one of the reasons i was excited to get the ayoob to carry tip down in my we...

Screw it. I'm going to try other-scale-tip-down on my beloved Para3 Maxamet and stick it in the back pocket again. I'll let you know how it works/feels.

Re: Make salt/marine series even better
I have a para 3. It hasn't popped open in the pocket, but I've had it pop open a couple times when I put it down roughly or dropped it. The blade has a tendancy to really fly open when it happens. ... Maybe it's just paranoia, but unless it has a super stiff detent, I'd rather not do something like...
