My classics
Hi all, Thought I would share the old-school Spydercos I found for my small collection this year: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMe8Nv_NTZhPai-BT3J5fBcVCHOTaIpRJjdzZL6I37l5-PadRj8JqDIC7CIc29Zgw/photo/AF1QipNO7lYJTI5iCZPZT-i4LrsahC9WhlPv5ncprhek?key=b05JNmVmRngyTFFiVnZPVGlnUVNqN2tZRnk4WE93 htt...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I just picked up a Caribbean PE leaf blade out of the mailbox this afternoon. I held off for a couple years because I was not too keen on the yellow. 30 min with an old pot and some Sapphire Blue RIT dye and it is perfect. I never tried that before, but the RIT dye thread convinced me to get the kni...

Re: Poor Sheath Retention - Enuff Sheepfoot
A quick follow-up: I got it fixed with paracord like I should have. Solid mounting and good retention. Now I have another issue. I took it off and decided to try it as a carry knife with the G clip and love it. Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket sheath so I can swap it back and forth? I...

Re: Pacific 2 Linerless Handles
I was skeptical about linerless folder too. I picked up a PacSalt 2 for a second knife for camping/kayaking, and I love it. I was also avoiding FRN. But I have no issues at all with fit and finish and it is more solid than I expected. I got a Native Chief as well which is also linerless but G10 and ...

Re: Poor Sheath Retention - Enuff Sheepfoot
I attached mine to my PFD and added a coiled knife lanyard for retention. It stretches to full arm extension, and attaches to a bottom loop so it is out of the way and forgotten when not in use. JB, do you use the original Enuff sheath? If so, do you use the G-clip that comes with it to attach to y...

I do the belt and suspenders thing too. I also have a PacSalt2 in LC200N with SE in a pocket and a bushcr...

Re: Poor Sheath Retention - Enuff Sheepfoot
My Enuff Salt just arrived yesterday. It has very solid retention. I think it would be nice to see a tension adjustment screw like a lot of my Kydex sheaths in case it loosens up over time or from use. Break-up has just started here in Ottawa. I got it for a PFD knife for kayaking and just in time. ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
Sal, Thanks for taking the time to reply. I can tell you know how valuable positive engagement is, and I am very happy to support Spyderco. I am also pretty happy to add the Rescue to small but growing collection! Based on this thread, I completed my Native family with a Lil' Native with a SpyderEdg...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
I have a Lil Native G10 SE on the way in the next day or to. It will give me one of each of the Native family - just got a Native in SPY 27 last month. It will also be my first SE EDC.

Re: "Scope the Edge" project
This sounds very cool. Not sure it would practical to help from Canada, but I have a good sharpening set-up and chase the ghost for fun every week. I'd be happy to contribute as I can. My sharpening set-up includes: -TR Maker guided sharpening system with water stones from 240 to 8000, and diamonds ...

Re: A few newbie questions
I usually wear hiking pants, a combat uniform or 5.11s that have reinforced pockets. I did wear some dress pants so I solved the problem by buying a dress knife. I got a Chaparral with Rafir Noble scales. They are slick and smooth and the knife is the perfect size and weight. No wear on the pants an...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
Thanks, Mike! Like I said, been thinking about another SE and I happened to come across a guy selling an early Rescue on the local buy-and-sell. He said it had been sitting in a sock drawer since he bought it and never carried or used. The box was gone, but it still had the Edge-u-cation insert. He ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
Hi from the Great White North! This is a great thread - I am glad I found it. I got into Spyderco on my last deployment - I picked up a DLC Shaman for carry in the field and a PM2 for EDC. Somehow I have 14 Spyderco knives now. I just picked up a Pacific Salt 2 in LC 200 N, but I was a little worrie...
