Re: G-Clips and belts...

More great advice, thanks! Horizontal carry is my favorite way to carry a fixed blade, but I haven't been able to make the G-Clip work horizontal, as I'm used to leather scout sheaths that sit close to the body. I'll try the paracord loops...and the reversed-clip pocket carry. You may have solved my...

Re: G-Clips and belts...

Great advice on the belt, Vivi, exactly what I was looking for. I'd actually prefer waistband carry to belt carry. I'm going to try it and see if it works for me. Re-sheathing and, for that matter, drawing the knife to begin with is what concerns me the most. I'd mainly be using this setup for fishi...

G-Clips and belts...

I'd sure like some advice on what kind of belt you like with your G-Clips. I love the G-Clip concept, but haven't found a belt that works well with it in practice. With a tight sheath it seems picky about belt width, thickness, and stiffness.

Any recommendations?

Autonomy 2 button... gritty?

If that's how they're supposed to be, that's cool, I don't mind as long as my knife is like everyone else's! I received it a few days ago, and I'm thankful to have found one at a decent price, but I was surprised at how gritty the button feels. Not like there's really grit in the mechanism, but like...

Re: Stretch XL discussion

"I will say, I was close to buying a Pac Salt, but decided to wait for this model once I learned it was linerless." For me, the Pac Salt will still have more utility, being corrosion-free, but I'll definitely try one of these to experience the Stretch handle. If it's as much better than th...

Well, heck. This thread arrived 24 hours too late to keep me from ordering a set of PM2 custom scales from another maker. After visiting this guy's site, I may have to buy another PM2... :thinking

https://i.postimg.cc/9fjHQPdw/IMG-0178.jpg Nice, I've been using Revelate bags for years for bike touring and camping. They're the best. BTW, you're the reason there's a Pac Salt in that pic, so thanks. And I've added 4 more since that one. They're addictive. Haha, that they are. Went back to mine ...

Nice to see a knife rarely posted , ATS-55 too . MG2
MG2, I never had any interest in a Cricket. None. Then I got a deal on this vintage one, and now I can't put it down. Remarkable little knife!

Thanks for posting this info, TazKristi. This is a nit, but your 2nd post specifies 9:00 A.M. MDT. Should be MST, as in your first post. :smlling-eyes :bug-red-white

Re: Favorite Lock?

I would be fine if all my knives had back locks. I want to purposefully and deliberately control every movement of the blade throughout its entire arc, opening and closing, with no flesh in the way. I'm most comfortable doing this with a backlock. My second favorite is probably Spyderco's rendition ...

Re: Spyderco "Custom Shop " ?

A lot of that is time-consuming handwork that would have to be handled by their most experienced workers, mostly the prototyper and the warranty and repair guy. After all, no one wants their custom work done by the new day labor guy who was frying burgers last week. If those two highly skilled and ...

Re: Spyderco "Custom Shop " ?

I'm so new to the forum that I hadn't seen any prior threads, and thus thought this was a good idea. Services that Spyderco customers might use, even though most are readily do-able DIY: -- Blade re-profiling, e.g. putting a more acute tip on a Pac Salt or Endura -- Reduced edge bevel angles -- High...
