GB2 still

I’m not a fan of liner locks, but every time somebody posts a GB2 it really tempts me. That’s one I am really thinking of making an exception for. The micarta looks great on there.

M390 Manix Monday

this would make the perfect reveal photo for a manix 2 salt. ;)

Thanks! Just the thought makes me giddy. LW manix, screw construction, magnacut…. Maybe even a backlock version.

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?

#1 would have to be my g10 manix 2. I took it apart and polished the washers, and replaced the ball cage with a titanium one… hard to put to words, but when you spydie flick it there is a perfect tightness right off the bat that makes you question if it will open all the way at first. But then it’s ...

Re: Which model is most likely to be the first Spyderco folder in MagnaCut?

i don't even want to think what a shaman in a brand new super steel would cost. i really would love to see it in a g10 manix, personally. even a backlock manix sprint run... everyone knows that knife didn't sell well because of the steel (and maybe it's thickness as well). i bet it would do really ...

Re: CPM SPY27 without training wheels

Your post just cost me $13. Looking forward to trying them out. Been using a KME, and practicing with cheaper knife on freehand stones. This is exactly what I needed.

Thanks!

If anyone is near Louisville KY, was just in there and Quest Outdoors has one in there showroom. Doesn’t look like they have them available online though.

Re: Manix 2 Parts

I ordered the titanium ball cage for mine from knifecenter. I couldn’t find the ceramic ball or the light spring in stock anywhere and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s perfect now, with just the cage changed out. My m390 / g10 Manix 2 was extremely tight out of the box. I mean, REALLY bad. I thought about se...

Re: Poll... Crucarta ...Poll

Definitely the micarta for me. After collecting traditionals for a while, I grew tired of dealing with high carbon steels. I can’t stand the smell on the blades when cutting fruit. I hate the worry of corrosion. For that reason I almost passed on this one. I know there’s a big corrosion resistance d...

Re: crucarta pm2 now shipping

Just got mine in the mail from knifeworldwv. Lockup and centering are perfect. I can’t tell any weight difference between this and the normal version. The micarta is REALLY NICE. Has a soft velvety feel to it. The grind is probably the most even from side to side of any spyderco I’ve got out of the ...

Re: crucarta pm2 now shipping

Just a heads up... I'm quicker than i am smart... Sometimes sites bump prices or hide notes. Make sure to check prices and descriptions. KnifeWorldWV was actually $3.50 more and i didn't catch it. Apologies for that. That plus $10.50 in tax I'll wait for these to show up with one of my preferred de...
