Re: The Sage: A stellar EDC

I might have to try a Sage now. Manix is my favorite big knife but I tend to carry the Native 5 or PM3 more around the office. Like the Native 5 slightly better but wish it had a bit more thumb ramp and the action/lock of the PM3. Seems like the Sage might check all those boxes. It really does fit ...

Re: Native 5 or Delica 4

Yes… Seriously though, they are both awesome knives. Native feels like it can take harder use than the delica . It is one of the most comfortable knives I have ever used and it comes in Magnacut these days! The lock is rock solid. The Delica feels like it will absolutely stand up to the same use as ...

The Sage: A stellar EDC

IMG_4284-compressed.jpeg Nobody told me that the sage was this good. Ok just kidding. A quick google search of the sage 5 will bring you to plenty of forums , reviews or ratings that all praise the sage 5 for being a great edc. The sage 5 has been on my buy list for a long time and I am glad that I...

I would be stoked for a leaf shape and LC200N as well.
Something like a sage 6 salt would be nice.

Re: Warranties, Forum Etiquette, and a Thank You

This forum has been nothing but kind to me in the few years since I have joined it. I am constantly learning new things from this forum such as sharpening advice, grinds , steel etc. I collected knives long before discovering knife videos on YouTube and like any YouTube video I take them with a grai...

Re: Show us your lanyards!

I apologize but I am not sure the name of the brand . I got it on etsy from a private seller. There is a whole market of glow in the dark beads. Thanks. I've seen some of them, not in that shape though. It almost looks like a sharpened bevel on it. That is the glowing section? The top bead is from ...

Re: Thin Edge Preservation

This is the only knife I've thinned out. I used Harbour Freight diamond plates freehand. https://i.ibb.co/8Pn11pR/20230125-134716.jpg Not the prettiest but it cuts like a dream. I did the same thing with my Cold Steel AD-10 that was stupid thick behind the edge. Haven't worked up to trying it on my...

Back in my day the para 3 came in S30V. There was no lightweight model so we all developed massive arms to be able to lift the knife out of our pockets. :winking-tongue

Re: It's wild how many different versions of the compression lock exist

This is a neat post. I have yet to try a spyderco button compression lock but it seems like it could be the best route forward for the following reasons: 1. It could potentially make the compression lock ambidextrous 2. The button method may be more durable than manual operation since users would en...
