Re: Best Overall Blade Design for Tactical Duty?

I´d not underestimate the sabre grind versions of Delica and Endura in the scenario you´re looking at. The low sabre grind makes them very strong, despite having not a really thick stock, and especially the tips are really robust. When it comes to the blades alone, they are really "good" ...

Re: Stretch XL discussion

I wonder if the Endura blade can be swapped onto this, I'd love to put my Emerson Endura on that handle.

Re: CPM MagnaCut Arrived Today!

Got mine today, same scales and sheath. Just have to break in the sheath, it’s tough to get the blade in and out right now. I’m honestly surprised the Mule isn’t a standard model, it’s a really nice design.

Springs do not wear out in a static position of being closed or open. Springs wear out from cycling from compressed to uncompressed.

Where do you guys get the springs?
I get the spring direct from Spyderco.

Re: MT35P - CPM MagnaCut Mule Team - Release Date

We have so little patience these days. :spiral-eyes None of us will starve if our umpteenth knife doesn't arrive in a week or less. Mine is still half a week away, assuming no mishaps along the way. I don’t think it’s a patience thing but worried about it not shipping. You add in all the server iss...

I wouldn't worry, pretty sure Spyderco is closed on the weekend. They'll ship on Monday.

Re: Autonomy 2 storage

In the reading I've done most springs don't take a "set" when kept in a compressed state. The bigger issues is the fatigue that happens from cycling the spring. It's only going to have some many repetitions before fatiguing and eventually failing. Sounds like I’m good to store it closed t...

Autonomy 2 storage

How should I properly store an Autonomy 2 to prevent undue wear on the spring. Should it be stored open, or does it even matter? I own two Autonomy 2’s so one doesn’t get used regularly. My other plan is to just to store it with the spring removed, but I like being able to just grab my knives and go...

Re: Blade Off-Center on Autonomy 2

I’ve found it impossible to center the blade on either of mine. It’s because the spring is so strong. If it wasn’t an auto it would have bothered me, but it’s something that I’m ok with now since it fires so nicely.

Re: Spyderco Autonomy reassembly

Are you thoroughly cleaning the male and female threads? What loctite are you using? Are you waiting about a day for the thread locker to cure? The pivot screws shouldn’t be loosening, there’s gotta be something going on that can be remedied… I think I just need to clean the screws better honestly,...

Re: Spyderco Autonomy reassembly

Hey Evil D, I figured I would update you on the progress. I did it! I have to admit, after I realized the correct order of reassembly, it was remarkably easy to put back together. I only wish I made a quick video to throw up here for someone's future reference in case they ended up in my position. ...
