Re: Why I don´t want a Lil Native FRN myself, but still want it to exist..
I'm probably in the minority, but I would love to see a Lil Native FRN with a comp lock. I am envisioning something like a mini Sage 5 LW.

Re: Which knives you like so much, you buy duplicates or variants?
No exact duplicates here, I'm a "variety is the spice of life" kinda guy. I do have both G10 and LW versions of a couple models. Heck, blindfolded the Manix G10 and Manix lightweight almost feel like two different knives.

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?
Fav might be a Para 3 that I tuned and polished until silky smooth. Also have a Manix G10 that came staight from Golden quite buttery. Both are pleasing to open in any of the usual ways.

Re: Lil Native or Chaparral and why?
Do you prefer skinny gals or full-figured ladies? The Chap is incredibly thin in hand and pocket, and is possibly my most slicey folder. Also very gentlemanly. The Lil Native is chunky for it's size, but that heft does give you a sense of toughness like your wielding a mini Shaman. It's not as fidgi...

Please, please, please more runs of the Sage 5 LW in different steel/color options. Superior to the Para3 LW in every way. Let the Sage shine!!!

Not a fan of the delica, nutnfancy, coated blades, light blue scales, or billboarding. Very hard pass.

Re: Describe the upsides and downsides of your favorite knife in a single statement.
While the Para3 is not necessarily my favorite, it truly shines as a compact edc that can handle up to 99% of everyday tasks. Downside is the requirement of an aftermarket clip for concealment, and ergos not as good as bigger brother.

Nice selection! I am a Manix guy, so I'll take the XL.

Re: Which knife later grew on you?
Strictly from an esthetics perspective, I did not care for the Manix's looks when I first saw it.
But then I held one.

Man that's a tough choice, three great knives. All are so good that your decision could be as simple as which lock type you prefer. Can't go wrong with any of em.
That said, my Manix M390 is one of my very favorites.

Re: New Chicago CTS-BD1N (some good, some bad)
I have a newer model Cat in BD1N and I like it very much. Part of my work carry rotation. I feel like the Cat and Chicago are two of Spyderco's somewhat hidden gems. Action and centering on mine was perfect out of the box, but action definitely got better with use. I agree with others, a little brea...

Re: The joy of a near perfect specimen
Had the same experience with my new Manix 2 M390. Actually looked it over with a magnifying glass when I received. Perfect in every way, like it was constructed by the gods. Action is smooth as glass, fit and finish is impeccable.

Re: First time Spyderco purchase
Chaparral is awesome and ambidextrous, and very gentlemanly, but not a fidget knife. Lil Native and Cat are nearly identical in size, have both and love both. Both are fidget friendly, Sage 5 is also. Manix 2 is VERY fidgety and ambidextrous, but hardly considered a gentleman's folder. That said, th...

Lil Native definitely gives you the "nub bump". Pretty much it's only weakness imo.
