Re: Spyderco Street Bowie - Serrated option?
I'm interested in a return of the green handle, but not so sure about the SE option. In my experience PE works better, and if you avoid letting the cutting edge contact the sheath when drawing the knife then they don't dull the edge. This is a really overlooked model in general. Good all around kni...

Spyderco Street Bowie - Serrated option?
Looking at the footage of soldiers in Ukraine, the most common knife I see them carrying is the Glock Field knife. This got me thinking of 'what would be the best Spyderco fixed blade for Military use' and it occurred to me that a SE version of the Street Bowie would be really cool. Possibly as a Sp...

Re: FRN Mini Dyad reboot interest?
The Mini Dyad is a wonderful little knife, I carried mine quite a bit.
K390 would be cool, but H1 would also be nice. Great size for travel / slicing tequila limes.

Re: Military 2
I'm tremendously excited for the Military 2. I've wanted one since perhaps 2018-19? when I saw the prototype at SHOT Show. The wonderful Millie, with a better lock and 4 way clip. What could be better? Hopefully there will be a SE version offered, even briefly. Its been what, 15 years since a SE mil...

Re: The Elephant In The Reveal (besides the BBB Manix): The Lil Temperance LW Price
I just saw the G-10 version is actually still available at a few places for the 2019 price of $211. The fact that they're still lingering at that price in some inventories isn't a good sign. I think the problem for the Lil T is theres 'Lil' actual hard info about the knife design in the ad copy tha...

Re: Bolstered and pinned construction
My personal favorite was the Manbug G10. Its an elegant little gentleman jewel of a knife, but not so fancy that I hesitated to use it. It's about perfect due to the style and size as a 'public knife' for using around non-knife people. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/spyderco_am...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
Hi Mark, Interesting method. I'd like to see some "real World Testing" and maybe a CATRA test on his edge. sal Hi Sal, I'd also be interested in seeing that tested, as I have never seen this method of SE sharpening before. While I have you here, this is a question I've had for awhile - ho...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
I came across a pretty remarkable SE sharpening video on Youtube just now.
Using a Tormek, he gets the edge down to an 89 on the BESS scale.

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
Well whats interesting to me is how much more substantial / quality the G10+Full liners feel relative to the surprisingly minimal weight increase over FRN. Stretch 2 FRN = 3.7oz Stretch 2 G10/Steel = 4.4oz Weights: Stretch2 XL Lightweight VG-10 FRN (C258BK): 2.7oz (77g) Stretch2 XL CRU-WEAR Gray G-...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
Man, how cool would it be if they added the Endura, Endela, Delica, and Wharnie variants of each to the production lineup in this combo? That would be fantastic. Or at least a sprint / limited run. The G10 Endura is one of the nicest Spydercos in my collection, and was my EDC for a few years. FRN E...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!
Just an FYI Mr. Janich mentioned these will have full skeletonized liners. This could be a great run for people that want a Stretch 2 but prefer liners. The visible steel liners + steel backspacer makes for a very beautiful and sturdy knife. It stays utilitarian but bumps up the class factor by a t...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
I wonder whether there was a 1200/1200 production run of PE/SE, or whether it was a 1200 piece run that could possibly be something like 800/400 PE/SE? The latter could explain the seeming greater availability of PE stock vs SE. Otherwise, if its 1:1 production for PE/SE, then it seems SE is selling...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
Disposing of some old 3/4" thick garden hose today. The SE sliced 95% through the hose with a single stroke using medium pressure, cutting very smoothly but aggressively. https://i.ibb.co/hgqsj5X/Spyderco-Massad-Ayoob-Cruwear-Serrated-share.jpg In terms of edge retention, any idea how Cruwear /...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
Did some testing of the Ayoob 3.0's shallow SE pattern against a roll of carpeting. Happy to report that while the SE seems quite smooth, it still has a good bit of bite and cutting aggression, allowing the Ayoob to cut through sturdy home carpet with a single pull without any snagging. You did som...
