Re: Forum Knife Poll 2024 is now Live

It would be interesting to see how many members have been on in the last month of the 31k users. Is it even the 1k required for a win? But I assume the poll is open to guests as well?

Re: Spydie flick Stretch 2?

I find I slow roll most of my knives now. For the reason navin mentions (public attention), as well as in my incessant flicking days my wife wanted to murder me for the click/clack every so many seconds while we were watching tv.

Re: Spydie flick Stretch 2?

...This slams the blade against the lock tang. If your looking to create some play in the lock, then by all means flick away. Wouldn't this be the case for any type of lock? Deformation is a possibility over repeated flicks, right? Is there something better about flicking open a blade with a stop p...

Re: Pick One Spyderco for last knife.

Vestigial? Vespine? I could do it with the Spy27 Stretch 2 , would also consider the lc200N or magnacut Stretch 2. Since you said "THE" and not "A" Spy27 Stretch 2, for a second I thought I´d have missed something... :grin-sweat It is like anything else, if I say it enough... it...

Ooh, I might take my wharnie Delica that I was making Canadian Airline compliant (2 1/3") a little more skitter'ish. The Delisquito? I like small blades but am not crazy about small handles...

I would be interested in one. While I don't go to sea anymore, still like stuff that speak to it.

Re: Swapping Native 5 lightweight (FRN) scales?

The pin is nested between the liners with just a reduced diameter head showing through the hole. Do not drift it out with the scales still assembled. I just pulled mine out with my fingers once it was opened up. No issues. Disassembly was very straight forward. A number of tips and tricks online for...

Re: Clean Micarta

I was wearing a hoody the other day. Went into the bathroom to do the business. My drawstring caught the pocket clip of my PM2 with Flytanium Lotus Micarta Scales. Sure enough PLOP! &#$R%#( Luckily before I had got to the business I was there for. So, yes, I have cleaned micarta scales, once... ...

Re: Yes, another request thread. Stretch 2

If anything, owning a Stretch 2 makes me want the Para 2 Lightweight even more. No doubt they'd have a bunch of steel and color combos for that. While I don't disagree, I like the liners and the backlock. That is probably the answer! Instead of trying to generate interest in new variants of the SS ...

How 'bout

Hunting: CPM 15V with LC200N liners.
Fishing: LC200N with LC200N liners.

Bright aqua, baby blue, orange, yellow or toxic green FRN scales for both.
Works for me. Like I say, just about any flavour works for me

Re: Yes, another request thread. Stretch 2

Stretch 2 in spy27 , lukewarm LC200n = heck no The stretch and it’s sprint runs traditionally are geared towards the top tier steels , zdp189, hap40, v-toku2, magna, vg10 I bet there’s a steel that’s over looked for the hunting geared stretch As a hunter I would never buy one in LC200n, as I would ...

Re: Yes, another request thread. Stretch 2

Sorry, good point. I mean the current nested liner setup, not the new PM2 cruwear version full liners to the edge of the scale. Editted the OP to reflect that. I would be happy with either blade shape. I like the endela, a lot, but prefer the stretch by a significant margin. I just got a K390 and it...

Yes, another request thread. Stretch 2

Acknowledging that everybody and their sibling knows best or at least has an opinion about the next model that should be produced... here we go. A *edit* nested liner stretch 2 (not xl), in just about any flavour. Specifically I would love to see spy27 or lc200n, but again think a *edit* nested line...
