Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions
If I was fortunate enough to find a soulmate in this turbulent time I would only carry some of Spyderco's finest to that big day. My two suggestions right of the top of my head would be the Cruwear C-60 Ayoob or one of the more recent Para2 models. I don't think you could go wrong with either one o...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
Some folks might not like me for pointing this out, but there's a Military 2 which will likely sell much better than the Military "1". So, I figure the original Military's days are likely numbered. A special 50th anniversary model would be a good send off for the original Military. My tho...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
A lot of good suggestions, thanx. I also thought about a new model? I haven't had an opportunity to speak with Eric about any plans he might have for the 50th. sal A new model would be really nice indeed. Another option would be "new version / size of already popular model" Can´t help, bu...

Re: 52100 Native Chief?
I know that Golden is at capacity limits in pushing knives through but I wonder if there is a chance that we will see a 52100 Chief? I know that a lot of people have their issues with it but it’s my favorite steel that Spyderco puts out and it’s the perfect platform for it. On the opposite end of t...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
I am waiting for aftermarket scales for my FRN MagnaCut Native which include PB washers, the absence of which is my perennial and main complaint re FRN Spydercos. I found them on Etsy (HiPolyDesigns), for nearly half the price of the ones offered by AWT and should be also lighter. In burgundy red :-)

Native 5 Salt Yellow FRN MagnaCut HRC?
Is the HRC known for this knife? I don't see it in the catalog nor on the dealer pages.

Re: Question about lanyard holes.........
I also don't "like" pocket clips and I removed them from my Chaps and some Natives, but kept them on other ones, because deep pocket carry is not always possible and I must do IWB instead.

Re: Question about lanyard holes.........
I use long (2ft) red lanyards on knives when I carry them outdoors in the winter and there is snow, so when I drop them and they disappear in the snow, the lanyard is still visible. I use lanyards holding some kind of small float, in case I drop the knife in the water when I am on a boat or kayaking...

Re: Another run of Whale Rescue Blade is needed.
Hi Fireman, So what you want is a Spyderco Machete? With teeth? sal This would be also the optimal serrated sickle outperforming and complementing the Tasman Salt SE in those delicate spots where I can't use a weedwhacker without a danger of damaging useful plants.. ideally perhaps with kama style ...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?
For me it is its compression lock. Not only I prefer other locks or even no lock to a compression lock, but IME Taichung compression locks are simply unusable, ie pressing the tab combined with a wrist action won't close the blade. This was the case with the Sage which after failing to break it in I...
