I absolutely love the mirrored stone wash finish on my Manix 2 LW in BD1N. So much so that I would preferentially purchase spydercos with this finish in the future. Which knives come with this finish? Is it consistent? Have any pics that show it off?

I feel like for the price point this steel is at it is just super solid. It's easy to sharpen, holds a working edge for what feels like a very solid amount of cutting, and is easy to strop back up to sharp if you want your fine edge back. One question, if I may: What do you mean by that the Manix now is less obtrusive in the pocket when in fact the deep carry clip leads to even "more knife being in the pocket"? It makes the "entrance" to the pocket less crowded because the wider part of the knife is a little deep...

So far my only experience with S30V was a benchmade that would not hold an edge worth ****, so I suspect it had benchmade's infamous bad heat treat.

Apply oil alongside the blade when open, then from the spine with blade half open. Work the blade open and closed several times, then wipe up any excess with a tissue. Use a thin oil and capillary action will work its magic.

It's plastic inside my pivot bushing, cleaning it out would involve drilling and if it's supposed to be there I don't want to remove the material.

How do you actually get lube down into the washers?
