Re: Pros & cons of Cruwear?
this is a weird one but you'd assume cruwear would patina well, i love a good patina. it doesn't! really nice edge retention on the one i use to break down boxes at work though.

Odds of PM1 with Magnacut?
Would be a dream grail knife, though I feel it's unlikely Spyderco would do this as they seem to hate the PM1. I'd settle for a PM2 Magna, is there a reason for the lack of Magnacut in Spyderco lineup?

Re: Looking at "Vivi edges" with a VHX-6000 digital microscope
That's how I generally use my strops too. burr detection mostly. i also use them to touch up my disposable razors before I switch blades. they're nice for extending their life a bit. I've gotten away from relying on strops and higher grit stones to refine the apex. Instead I focus on using the ligh...

Re: Can we talk about Amazon?
Spyderco sells everything on their own home site at full MSRP as they do not want to compete with their dealers. Instead of choosing Amazon, try one of the many other online retailers who will sell the Sharpmaker at MAP pricing, so it should be the same or close to Amazon's price. Welcome aboard! W...

does k390 have any advantages over 10v?
I am curious if there is any advantage to k390 over 10v. I know that 10v has outperformed (hardly) k390 in edge retention, wondering if k390 perhaps makes it up in corrosion resistance or toughness. I know they are very similar steels, but curious about little difference. Thanks

Re: Waterway Availability
gonna go ahead and bump this thread if nobody minds - is there any word on more regular production? I can find a few in stock online but I'm hoping to pick one up at a local store. prefer to support my small knife shop

para 3/2/even 1 in lc200n instantly becomes my everyday knife. a full salt para would be perfect.

I have a pochi and have had it since launch, almost no pocket time honestly. its just too small to be truly useful. Adorable though.

Re: Do The Spyderco Tenacious and the Tenacious Lightweight use the same scales?
answer is yes! turned out great, nice brass scales on my s35vn tenacious. as far as i know this is the cheapest brass spyderco you can create with this steel and new parts. very happy with my spyderco brass tenacious cuz the tenacious was my first spyderco so its a real trip back to my roots. cente...

Re: Do The Spyderco Tenacious and the Tenacious Lightweight use the same scales?
Wait, seriously? If they've got the same liners and scale shape I wonder what the weight difference is - can't be much. I was hoping the LW tenacious would be significantly lighter weight than the regular model. i have both the regular tenacious (8cr13mov) in full weight as well as my s35vn lightwe...

Do The Spyderco Tenacious and the Tenacious Lightweight use the same scales?
I want to chuck some brass scales intended for the full weight 8cr13mov tenacious unto the s35vn lightweight. These are the scales in question and likely the exact ones I will buy. https://www.bladehq.com/item--Flytanium ... rco--89847 Any reason I cannot do this?
