Re: Spyderco Watu is the answer to my quest
Count me in as another big Watu fan! I would probably never have purchased this knife myself, but my Dad bought me one as a gift, and it's proven to be a phenomenal and versatile knife. The neutral handle shape is crazy comfortable and I have found the unique blade shape to excel in all-around use.

Re: If you are NEW to sharpening, or having DIFFICULTY, YOU NEED TO SEE THIS THREAD
I'm not very good at sharpening yet, and I think this perfectly illustrates my issues that are holding me back. All I have is the sharpmaker with the included brown and white rods though... And honestly I think I've been expecting too much out of the brown rods. I can use them for hours, but if my k...

Re: Disappointed with first Spyderco
Oh and for the OP, I also think you might want to check out the Salt 2 instead, as others have suggested. After resolving the issue of my loose pivot screw using blue thread locker, I've grown to love that knife. I am a climber, mountain biker, and lightweight hiker/backpacker, and the knife fits th...

Re:
I've gotta back Patrick up here. Like I said I've had screws completely fall out between waking up and clocking out. I'm talking 20-30 openings on a Military. I've had it happen with lockbacks, comp locks, liner locks, etc. Big knives, small knives, etc. I can fix it with thread locker but it's sti...

Re: How fast can Spyderco go from the decision to do it to an actual FRN prototype? (Sal?)
I regularly design injection molded parts at my job and get lots of molds made my the manufacturers I work with, and Sal's ~3 month lead time is pretty standard for what I see too. There are a lot of things that go into a quality injection mold tool. Many factors can increase this difficulty (and th...

Re: Freediver’s 1000th Post Giveaway
I’m in! Thanks for the cool giveaway, and congratulations on 1000 posts! I’ve never had a Pacific Salt, or an Endura, and I’d be interested in trying out the Pacific Salt if I won. My favorite Spyderco may just be my first, the Chaparral LW. It is hard to say that though, as like most members here, ...

Now you're getting the picture!
Just kidding actually, as actually I live by a similar rule as you regarding the number of knives I have, and my number is quite a lot smaller than yours.

Re: a caribbean murder mystery...
Looking at Evil D's photo, I'd love one with the same pattern but using black and a dark gray instead of yellow. Still a pattern, but just a play on the tones instead of introducing a color that will be hit or miss with folks. Like this? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51199002765_5d6ee788cd_k....

Wow, this is cool. I have this exact same knife, so it's nice to see what this one has gone through. Mine has had an easy life in comparison so far, even though it is my go-to knife for any and all outdoor adventures.

Re: What Spyderco did you get for Christmas?
I'm late to the party with my reply, but my Dad gave me a Watu! What a cool knife. It is oddly comfortable in the hand. I have only had the chance to carry it once so far, but I am impressed with how it disappears in my pocket, and how nicely it carries in general. I'm really looking forward to carr...

Re: Spyderco Standard Clip vs. Lynch vs. MXG Gear
The only issue I have with aftermarket deep carry clips for The Delica handle is they appear much “longer” because the top starts at the top of the knife and the bottom reaches to the smooth part of the scales. It’s perfect from a functional standpoint as going to the smooth logo part of the scale ...
