Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
Since it’s all but inevitable… IMG_4341.jpeg Is that a DIY Crucarta model? That it is…scales were made by this dude in Russia. To be perfectly honest, I forget his name but he does really good work…great texture and tight tolerances. Pavel Shiskin of Knife Custom Garage. Did a stint on Etsy until t...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
Pretty sure when this dropped and I got mine a couple years ago it was $400. So definitely more now (and not worth it imo) Pretty sure previously in this thread, you said it wasn't worth $400, but you still bought one. Good thing it's not a pansy color, or we would never hear the end of it. :yawn

Re: SNK Manix 2 LW is coming!!!
Got mine on Thursday. The LW has made me rethink my dislike of the CBBL.
The spring is easier to manipulate, maybe due to the wire clip or the FRN grip.
Mine will be carried Christmas day for gift opening.
The sticker included was a hoot.
Great job Spyderco and SNK for another great looking knife.

Re: Manix 2 LW deep carry pocket clip
SaltyCaribbbeanDfly, I do have 2 of these Milwaukee Fastback, but why should I put this clip on my Manix 2 LW when I told specifically to the person at SFO that I would like to buy a deep carry pocket clip if they have available. They are directly responsible for the mistake, the person that answer...

...The murdered out look really suits that knife IMO... Beautiful knife!! I don't have the hip lingo like you guys. Can you explain what "murdered out" means? And why "murder"? I've seen the term used a lot with knives, but can't figure out if it implies: monotone, or black, or ...

Re: Using graphite and other dry lubes
Graphite is 1-2 on the Mohs hardness scale. Steel is 5.5 to 6.5. Diamond is 10 Graphite isn't going to cause any wear on the steel, bushings, washers, etc. It can be messy but it wont hurt your knife. Might leave a mess on your fancy jeans if your a fancy boy or girl. Otherwise, you are GTG using po...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
I touched up my "dull" Goddard with about 40 passes on the diamond rods and another 40 on the brown rods at 35° inclusive which seemed to match the apex angle.
Now it's a screaming sharp knife and in my work truck.
Really like the weight to blade size of this model.

Re: How have your preferences changed over the years?
I have switched the majority of my purchases from stainless to tool steels. Corrosion isn't usually a concern and patina is a good thing. No more forced patinas either. G10 to micarta, wood, smooth CF or FRN. G10 is sometimes too grabby when coming out of my pocket. The Taichung FRN is my favorite o...

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!
I got my B&T Coonhound at <1 year - 3rd or 4th owner. When I adopted him he was wearing an orange hunting collar. He is afraid of loud noises - drop to his belly when a large truck drives by. He had also been beaten on the butt and head - 9 years later he is much better but the first time I pat...

Re: Spyderco hardware origin.
I would agree with Rusty Iron. Except for the premium knives (Swayback, SpyOpera, Kapara, etc.), the consistency and quality of the torx screws used for clips, scales and pivots are all over the place. We take care to break out our loupes to check our edge apex. You would be horrified to see the slo...
