Re: Will there be a MagnaCut backlash?
Based on my limited knowledge, I expect that MagnaCut will make its way to become a new default steel. As such, it will serve many knife users well with its great balance of corrosion resistance, toughness and edge retention. As far as I understand, it is neither more expensive nor harder to make th...

Re: Spyderco Heinnie Haynes UK Penknife G10 back into stock
Mine is almost here, hurray! Just had to swallow the customs charge and the exorbitant handling fee, yikes.
It’s kinda funny and sad that it’s already out of stock again… wonder if they’ll do another run… and how long that’s going to be

Re: UKPK Salt availability ?
Good to see it arrive around the U. S. No luck in the old world so far, as far as I can tell.
Has anyone seen it in stock in the EU yet?

Re: DLT Kapara Exclusive!
I’m starting to regret that I passed on this one… is there going to be another production run at some point? Being an Exclusive doesn’t mean it is a limited edition, right? The HH UKPK comes to mind.

Re: Spyderco Heinnie Haynes UK Penknife G10 back into stock
I am really upset how HH handled this: Friday the whole world gets the mail that this exclusive is in stock. I checked the whole weekend how their stock went down from ~600 to ~300 (now at 150). I ordered and paid 14 months ago. Monday evening, after reminding them of my order, I get a mail from HH...

Same here. Got the “back in stock” notification but no update on my order as of yet. Wrote them an email with my order number to inquire.

Well they do say it’s in stock! If I weren’t in Europe, I’d probably go ahead and order. Hope EU-based shops get theirs soon as well…Buddafucco wrote: ↑Tue Aug 03, 2021 2:27 pmLC200N UK Pen Knife Plain Edge... https://www.edgeworksonline.com/product ... 9970703125

Re: Top Steels and Scales for another Kapara sprint?
Some great suggestions here already. For steel, anything low maintenance would be great, LC200N or Vanax Superclean. And for scales, something that makes it overall more table or side board friendly, and less tactical. Like some nice paper or linen Micarta, or the gold G10 showed earlier. Or maybe e...

Re: Can we please get some kind of update/estimate on the Heinnie UKPK?
May I ask what the actual hold up is with the HH ukpk? In three days time my pre paid order will be a year old. I now see a HH exclusive urban has hit the shelves. I have msgs from spyderco say production was planned for April/May and still no sign of it. If there was a decent competitor to the ukp...

It's been a while, so I'm allowing myself a bump of this thread and keeping fingers crossed there may have been some progress :D

Re: Lil'Kapara anticipation thread
Hey, great to build some hype around this exciting release! I’ve been lusting after a Kapara for some years now, with all the raving reviews and I love the look of the blade shape. But the regular size length is just too long to wield as a pocket knife in any situation where I live. So bring on the ...

Re: Chaparral
Thanks for the write-up, you summarize very well why the Chap is a great pocket knife. It's all the pocket knife I'll ever need, probably, only thing I'd want is to change the LW-scales for some Micarta, but that seems to be hard to come by. Any hints much appreciated, the usual suspects (like CuSca...

Re: When is the next HH UKPK run expected?
Hello all - a newbie from the UK here. Please go easy on me! I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask, but does anyone know when the next UKPK production run might go ahead? Especially the Heinnie Haynes special edition with the red G10 scales? Is it actually going to happen or have Spyderco mov...

Re: The low grit sharpening thread
I came across this thread and decided to give it a try. I’ve been thinking that the best edge would only be achieved from a progression from coarse to fine stones, the finer the better. In my case, the finest would be a 3000 grit Naniwa pro. The other day, I stayed on my 400 grit Naniwa pro and focu...

And the size... it’s a chunk of metal for sure, but well designed. It often looks big in wrist shots, but wears suprisingly well. And the slightly...

Re: How did you get interested in Spyderco knive
Was always into gear, also pocket knives, but live in a country where carrying a knife is frowned upon generally. Spyderco has many knives that look non-threatening, not tactical, and I kind of like that quirky style. Also, they're expensive here. But now, in my mid thirties, that is less of a barri...

Re: Techno 2
I owned one for a while before selling it. The fit, finish and action is beautiful. It is a wonderful object to hold and to fiddle with. As a cutting tool, the thick blade stock and sabre grind made it not very useful for me in everyday life. I actually got a Chap (FRN) instead, and that just works ...
