Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?

A larger knife like native chief or s2xl would be good candidates IMO. I would rather see something cool but can still be a user and is affordable (relatively speaking) with a good amount available, than some super unobtanium materials.

Re: Upping the price.

to my untrained eye the shaman looks somewhat more expensive to produce than say a pm2 due to thicker 3d sculpted g10 handles, size and thickness, lots of gimping, and stonewash finish

Re: Upping the price.

I feel that I got good value for what I paid for my Spydercos. I'd rather have a couple knives from a company like Spyderco than a drawer full of Chinese made flash in the pan designs. I have tried them and it's just not the same experience over the long term. Hogue used to be a great value for qual...

Re: What is your favorite Delica variant?

This Salt 2 is my favorite Delica iteration because it's very light and has a tiny bit longer blade and I like the low maintenance and toughness of LC200n.

Re: New(ish) Delica is covered in surface rust

Having seen your pics now, I think you can polish it out with flitz and it will be fine. Not sure what happened but avoid leaving your knife in wet places for a long time and try to wipe off any nasty stuff on the blade like salt, acids, etc.

Re: The MicroJimbo reviewed: The Yojimbo 2 as a "little big knife"

This thread is super helpful zuludelta. I am definitely a fan of this family of knives owning several Yo2s and a Yojumbo. But, I don't think I am going to pick up the micro because I can legally and comfortably use and carry the Yo2 (it's the most ergonomic folder I own for prolonged hard use). But,...

While we’re on this subject I’m curious why they didn’t go with FRN for this one like the para 3.
More significant redesign so more work and cost. I assume they are working on it or at least considering given the sales potential.

Re: Black Linen Micarta instead CF/G-10 please

I would love to get a street beat micarta. I wonder what they would cost if they were in production today. They are very pricey now on secondary market.

Re: Spyderco Byte / Shot show question

I would imagine that the 15v Manix 2 LW was among those for BBB. Eric showed a sneak peek of this knife and said 15v would be implemented in others too. No idea of the others.

Re: LC200N for mullet? Recommendation Needed

Both are great. LC200n will work well for you. Magnacut will keep an edge even better, but lose some corrosion resistance. I encourage you to take a look at the Pacific Salt 2 in LC200n, which is available now, or the upcoming Native Chief in Magnacut or LC200n. Both models will offer a large blade ...

At 6:30 Eric says the blacked out PM2 Magnacut will use the new mystery coating instead of DLC? The website lists the blade as being DLC...
He goes on to say the first couple production runs will be DLC coated and then new in-house coating will be implemented by the end of the year.

Re: New Tenacious Frame Lock in D2?

I like that Spyderco is gonna compete in this arena, even though the D2/titanium framelock is not my kind of thing. I'm still interested to see how far they can push the price/performance ratio. I think this finish will appeal to knife youtubers who like to see certain specs at low prices.

Eric brought some heat for shot show! I hope Knifecenter does a longer interview with him as well, those are always so interesting.

I watched in theaters and thoroughly enjoyed it! Everyone I was with liked it. Different strokes I guess. It's as much about the politics of the time, "red scare" and all, as it is about the Manhattan Project. You also see how the various scientists navigate the morality of participating a...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

I have largely moved on to the Salt 2 wharnie as my preferred "Delica." For my use case it's hard to argue with a longer blade, lighter weight, and LC200n. But, everytime I pull out one of my older Delicas with liners (of which I have 5) they just feel good to use. The Delica has something...

This knife deserves a trainer! Given the Yojimbo lineage. Spyderco please run it! After you produce Yo2 trainers again... and release a Yojumbo trainer.
