Asking for help, for a second time!
Hi Gents, You guys were awesome for advice on my first ever knife purchase. I am now onto my second knife and this one will be an EDC knife whereas the last was a rescue. I have been wanting to get a UKPK for absolutely ages (fits all legal requirements where I live). I'm not sure if we are allowed ...

... Cut down one male but he was already gone so no time pressure.... I am not a native speaker in English, so I am not sure if "male" maybe is also the term for anything other than, you now, a person of the gender that grows a beard... or if that´s a british-humor -joke :D ... or i...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
Lads! The time has arrived, it has been Christmas. Whilst on holiday and typing to you lads the Missus noticed I was commenting on this thread and saw I was leaning towards the assist salt. I was gifted a trip to new york and an assist salt! It's a beautiful tool! Might be able to pick up something...

Sharpmaker and new knifes
Hi ladies and gents. Loads of you have helped me in my other thread finding the ideal knife for my needs. I’ve got my first one! Assist salt, I’ve also got a ukpk s110v coming on a week or so. I just bought a sharpmaker and it’s due to arrive tomorrow. My question is, do I need to sharpen a factory ...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
I don’t plan on taking anything sharp to NY. Although I’m a officer myself, seen lots of horror videos on YouTube with the police across the pond and don’t fancy causing any grief for myself! Aha

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
Hi, I don't think anyone's specifically mentioned sharpening gear, but I recommend that you get something at the very least to touch up these edges. You may have this covered of course, but I'm just aware that we're discussing pretty fancy steel's that won't be that easy to sharpen say with convent...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
Chaps! Thanks for the awesome replies! It really is a shame to be honest, I’m sure you guys have seen the hugely escalating problem of knife crime in the uk, but in the grand scheme locking knifes aren’t the biggest culprit! But to stay in the side of caution I will contact work professional standar...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
If those are the prices you’re coming across, I’d get the Pacific Salt all day long. I haven’t handled an Atlantic Salt but have a vg10 assist I keep in the car. For a general use knife I definitely prefer something with some sort of point. Get the Pacific Salt and don’t look back! I think... i may...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
The Pacific Salt is excellent ergonomically and the H1 rustproof steel is stellar when serrated. It’s nowhere near as “friendly” looking, mind, as the Atlantic Salt, which may be important as they are both quite large blades. Mind Your Fingers has the vg10 Rescue knives much cheaper still, includin...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
Lads! Thank you for the huge range of responses! You lads have all changed my mind, but now! Now we are onto another question! This is going to be a cheeky chrismas present request from the partner. As I live in the UK it is a nightmare to get knifes here. I'm going to make reference to work about h...

Now I wanna know what he's cutting down lol Didn’t want to start the post with two much info! Dead / almost dead people unfortunately. We’re all adults here! I dealt with a chap the other day who made his own rope which he coated in a Teflon wrap. It was so thick his wife couldn’t even cut it down ...
