Hw to disinfect an FRN handled knife
My wife todays sprayed a bleach based bathroom cleaner all over my Delica I was cleaning after using it on a floor a toilet leaked on. I assume bleach is not good for FRN, I washed it off once I noticed she did it, so hopefully it’s not damaged the FRN. This then got me thinking, if I need to disinf...

Re: Lanyard Hole Size
Hi Kernelpanic, As Paul mentioned, the lanyard hole size is different for different models. Some models had 550 Paracord in mind, others not. You may have to go to a thinner cord for the Delica. sal Sal, Wouldn’t all larger Seki FRN have same size? Endura, Stretch, Delica? When I look at it closely...

Lanyard Hole Size
Hi, Does the lanyard hole size vary between Spyderco knives. The only one I have with a Lanyard whole is a Delica. The reason I ask is the whole on the Delica is a very sight squeeze for 550 Paracord, and all my pocket knives I add good length of Paracord so when I dont want to use the pocket clip I...

Re: Do you Like your Spyderco Mint or Used
The first scratches on anything always suck, but after that the satisfaction of actually being able to just trust and wear what ever the product is, is so much greater. That being said, I'm currently trying to decide what to trim out of my knife collection, because lately I have been simply acquiri...

Re: Do you Like your Spyderco Mint or Used
Agreed I try to always buy new as its hard to know if the knife was abused by previous owner. But I do prefer my knives once I have allowed some wear to build up.

Re: Do you Like your Spyderco Mint or Used
I will be making a few bow and drill sets tomorrow to practice fire lighting in winter, then I have some work to do in garden so it will soon get some wear :)

Do you Like your Spyderco Mint or Used
I have been using a Delica in rotation with a Fallkniven TK4 as my main locking folders. Ive had the Delica for many years but lost it last week in the woods. I bought a new one at end of the week, but it’s new, shiny and clean :( it doesn’t feel the same as my trusty old Delica. Took me a while to ...

Re: best steel?
I can only go on the knives that I have owned but I like VG10 for everyday use and SG2 as my pocket knife whilst doing bushcraft. VG10 is easy to sharpen in field and takes a pretty good edge, SG2 is on another level and is pretty tough compared to zdp from my experience.

Re: Your Delica 5
Deep pocket carry wire clip (but not shiny something dull coloured so it doesn’t stand out). Matt textured FRN similar to what Fallkniven use on their folders with synthetic handles. Offers good grip and less places for crud to build up. Laminated sgps steel ( I love this steel) and prefer it to zip...
