Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept
Not for me. First impression is some sort of tribal tattoo. That definitely would put me off buying. Looks cheap to me, I'm sorry.

Re: So what's your top 3 favorite steels? and why?
Well, any steel can easily be bad, always boils down to the heat treat first and foremost and then it's all grind and edge geometry... I've seen so many spoiled "supersteel" knives lately, but I'm amazed by Manly's 1.2379 right now. For what it costs, my Comrade is outduelling pretty much ...

Spydiechef weak detent
Hey guys,
how strong is the detent on your Spydiechef...?
On mine it is borderline weak, I can shake out the blade with no effort whatsoever, even right against gravity... kinda bugs me

Cruwear sounds about right. Green canvas micarta scales even sound more right...

Kapara CQI
So the Kapara even got better:
https://youtu.be/xECQ1_ySisM
This raises questions:
- which serials will have the upgraded version?
- can we hope for pivot bushings on other knives, too?
- when we gonna see the overdue LC200 Kapara?

Re: I just cut myself...
Like I said, I didn't cut myself while fidgeting , I cut myself while holding the closed knife... Just ckecked. When I run my finger along the back of the knife a little part gets between the scales and I can feel the edge, right behind the stop pin. If I apply some pressure I'm gonna cut myself... ...

Re: I just cut myself...
No idea... was watching something on YT, fidgeting... had to click on something so I held it in my left hand, closed... then I noticed it hurts, looked, et voila... blood - small clean cut on my left index finger.
Not really bad, stopped bleedin after 1 min... but it was closed

Hm. Sorry for kinda necrothreading this...
Doesn't a regrind like this change the flicking action noticably? You're taking away mass from the end of the blade so it might, I guess.
I really like the looks of it and would consider going the same route if it didn't change the action...

Spydiechef handle finish
Does anyone know how Spyderco achieves the finish on the Spydiechef handle? Is it just some kind of acid etch over a stonewash? Ferric chloride maybe?
I'm really liking it and would consider trying something similar on other titanium scale knives if I knew how...
