Re: love/hate spydies

Shaman for me. I had previously posted that the shaman z-wear was a bit of a let down as it has vertical play. I was considering sending it back or selling. I watched a video and the fellow had mentioned he took his apart and lightly touched up the steel liners around the washer area to remove any b...

Re: New here. Bought my first Spyderco!

Welcome! Gorgeous first spyderco. Some like backlocks and some don't. In my experience there is usually a bit of vertical play w them but never stopped me from any cutting nor bothered me too much. I usually forget its there. Let's see how long it takes you to get to 20 spydercos! Sooo addictive wit...

Sorry to hear about that. Glad you're safe. I'd look at it as another opportunity to buy another knife! Might as well jam in a positive in all that negative. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

<t>Thanks for the advice. I'll check again tonight to see if the lock is moving. I have 14 compression lock knives and only a pm3 and my two shaman have this issue. Arrying my s110 pm2 now and is rock solid. If you stick the tip of my shaman in the edge of my coffee table and wiggle up and down, it ...

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

****. Was hoping not to have to send back. Im up in canada and have had spyderco blades seized at the border. You know......we'll import 400 000 sks rifles without issue but not a knife with a hole in the blade! I'll contact spyderco and see what can be done.

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

My z-wear was in the mail today. Nice knife but both my z wear and rex45 shaman have vertical play. Tried tightening etc but still more than I like. I checked a few pm2s I have, for comparison, and they only had a tiny amount. My 5 manix have none (diff lock i know). Maybe it'll work itself out as t...

Re: Why are so many people concerned with perfect blade centering?

It bothers me when not centered. Im a cabinetmaker so I'm very detail oriented. An uncentered blade to me is the difference between a good knife and a great one. My s110 milli won't stay centered after adjusting and ticks me off. Still a great knife though.

Re: The spydie folder you would bring in a trip around the world

I think I'd go with my s110v para2. Little worries about corrosion and large enough for all tasks. Providing that my edge pro w diamond stones are with me too of course. If no edge pro id probably take my endela vg10.

Woohoo! Just received notification that my zwear is in the mail! Now the long wait and I have to decide if a second shaman is in the budget. Hard to do with crucarta pm2s coming out in the future. So many great knives coming out. Want a native chief rex45 also

Re: Shaman Z-Wear Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

Put my pre-order in yesterday! Cost an arm and a leg up here in Canada but I couldn't resist. Would hate to miss out. The interest is intense even though its a fairly pricey knife. Now to grab a couple cru pm2s and one of those and one of those and one of those and one of those.
