Re: Space Corps knife??
Isn't it generally a bad idea to carry around a knife and cutting holes in things when all that separates you from the infinite vacuum of space is a spacesuit the gloves of which don't really promote dexterity?

Re: Suggestion: everyone should design a knife
I am about 90% of the way there and realized... there's no place to attach a clip! I hadn't even thought about clips. i designed a folder using Fusion 360 as well a few months ago, I also completely forgot the pocket clip on my design as well, I ended up just not adding a pocket clip since too much...

Lil' Hundred Pacer?
Hey guys so I know I can't be the only person who feels this way, so I wanted to make a post and see what you guys thought. I really like the design of the Hundred Pacer, I think the handle scales are super interesting and I'm also a fan of the blade shape of the Hundred Pacer. What I'm not a huge f...

What is the hardest (but still possible) spyderco to spydieflick?
Hey guys If your like me one of the first things you do when you get a new spyderco is try to spydieflick it open. But we all know that there are some spydercos that are harder to flick open. So I wanted to see what you guys thought the hardest spyderco to spydieflick while still not being impossibl...

Re: Do you have a "benchmark-knife"?
Depending on what aspect of a knife I'm drawing a comparison to I would use different knives as a benchmark, for instance when I look at the pocket clip/how easy it is to deploy and stow a knife my benchmark knife is the pocket clip on my "Massdrop Perpetua" it has my favorite pocket clip ...

Re: Are you cheating on the bug?
Most days when I’m out and about I carry a small CRK Inkosi insingo in the little leather pouch/sheath it comes with. It’s mainly because with it in the pouch I don’t have to worry about anyone freaking out because since I can just keep it in my pocket and there isn’t even a pocket clip visible. How...

Re: What do you guys think of this knife I designed?
What was the reasoning behind the tip design? I find that a sharp point can be useful in a lot of my EDC tasks. The angle that the pictures are at doesn’t show it very well but the blade Tip still does come to a point. Although it still won’t be phenomenal at piercing tasks. I drew some inspiration...

What are your thoughts on Spyderco's Peel-ply Carbon Fiber?
Hey guys I just wanted to see what your opinion on peel ply carbon fiber was. do you prefer it, not have a preference, or wish that Spyderco would use full on CF even if it was more expensive?

Re: What do you guys think of this knife I designed?
I have attached a picture where you can see what the stop pin and the cutouts look like when the knife is closed because I realize it is difficult to visualize what that looks like just from my description. Those black parts near the top of the knife are where the cutouts become slots.

What do you guys think of this knife I designed?
So this one is called the Genome the blade length is about 3.5" and the cutting edge is about 3". The lock bar has has a stainless steel insert and a ceramic detent ball. The handle is an integral design and the pivot is captive on one side, so that you don't need to apply torque on both s...

Re: The most reliable locking mechanism Spyderco uses?
To me at least I feel like as long as you properly maintain your knives and don't abuse them by doing things like using them as pry bars, any of Spyderco's locks should be good for life. If what your getting at is which is the strongest locking mechanism is strongest or which do people prefer that's...

Can someone help me understand what all the hype is for slipjoints lately?
Hey guys so I have never been able to understand the big appeal of slipjoints is, I get that for some people it is a legal issue and that they can't carry a locking knife, or that if you are going to church or something that a slipjoint might get a few less stares than a locking knife. What I don't ...

Re: Ideal blade thickness for your EDC folder?
I feel like 3.5mm (Manix, PM2, etc) is just about perfect for my needs. Good balance of strength and weight. Some of these ridiculously large, overbuilt folders make me wonder if someone can't decide between a pry bar or a pocket knife, lol. I definitely fall into this same group, I feel like the P...

I can't tell for sure from the picture if that is single or double edged, but if it is a single edged knife I think that would be really cool.

Looking for feedback on a knife I am designing.
Hey guys so over the last few weeks I taught myself how to use Fusion 360 and I have been modeling knives in it for a little while each day. I was wondering if anybody could give me some feedback on one of the knives I modeled, I have attached a picture of it below. It's a fixed blade Kukri that I c...
