The first defining feature of this Shaman is its blade, which is precision machined from Carpenter® Technology Corporation's premium CTS® XHP blade steel. CTS XHP is an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium alloy that is best described as either a high-hardness 440C stainless steel or a corrosion-resistant D2 tool steel. As a blade material, it offers superior edge retention and surface finish and can be sharpened to a very fine edge. It is also extremely resistant to corrosion and easy to maintain. The PlainEdge™ blade of this knife is full-flat ground for superior edge geometry and proudly includes a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. It is also cloaked in a handsome black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

In keeping with Cutlery Shoppe's signature style, the handle of this Exclusive Shaman features high-visibility orange G-10 scales. Precision machined to offer a comfortable, contoured grip, they are also home to nested stainless steel liners. The stonewashed liners provide impressive structural strength and serve as the heart of the knife's sturdy Compression-Lock® mechanism. A four-position hourglass clip supports all carry preferences, offering a choice of tip-up or tip-down, left or right-side positioning. To complement the blade's DLC coating, the clip and all other handle hardware also sport matching black coatings.
