The first defining feature of this elite Para 3 Lightweight is its full-flat-ground blade, which is painstakingly crafted from CPM® 4V®. This advanced tool steel was specifically developed for applications requiring a superior combination of strength, wear resistance, and toughness. To eliminate the blade's reflective properties and help protect it from corrosion, it features a durable black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

The other distinctive feature of this knife is its vibrant red handle. Injection molded from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN), it houses a streamlined version of Spyderco's Compression Lock® mechanism—a high-strength, extremely user-friendly lock that allows safe and easy one-handed operation. To match the blade's stealthy DLC coating, the clip and all other handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.
