Designed by renowned custom knifemaker Ed Schempp, the Schempp Tuff is both highly functional and practically indestructible. This Exclusive version of it showcases a blade crafted from CPM® CRU-WEAR®—an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The PlainEdge™ blade is saber ground and backed by bilateral fullers (grooves) that trim the knife's weight and reduce friction during cutting. To eliminate its reflective properties and help protect it from corrosion, it is also cloaked in a black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.

The stout handle features a stainless steel liner and a peel-ply-textured olive drab G-10 scale on one side and a solid titanium scale on the other. The titanium scale forms the foundation of a Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.), which has a hardened steel insert for superior strength and a long service life. A broad-based four-position clip supports all carry preferences and, like the handle's other hardware, has a durable non-reflective coating.
