Spyderco's Operation Enduring Freedom (and previously offered Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn) commemorative CLIPIT® knives are unique limited-edition versions of our popular C41 Native. These knives feature injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handles that are contoured to provide exceptional ergonomics and textured for a positive grip. Resistant to both chemicals and temperature extremes, the handles of these limited-edition knives are desert tan colored to distinguish them from our standard black-handled versions.

The blade of each commemorative Native is precision ground from CPM S30V stainless steel, a state-of-the-art material manufactured by Crucible, a U.S. company renowned for its cutlery steels. CPM is an acronym for Crucible Particle Metallurgy, a type of steel in which the alloys are mixed in a powdered state to ensure maximum integration throughout the steel, resulting in superior consistency and performance.

The Native's blade is hollow ground and serrated along most of its length for superior cutting performance. It is mated to the handle by a high-strength back lock mechanism that provides a secure blade lock-up and easy ambidextrous operation. A reversible pocket clip supports left- or right-side tip-up carry, providing both security and immediate accessibility.

Every commemorative Spyderco Native is manufactured and assembled by the skilled craftsmen in our Golden, Colorado factory. The blade is laser engraved with "Operation Enduring Freedom" and "We pray for your safe return."
