    The "salty" graduation gift

My younger brother graduated from high school this past week and so I figured I would get him a new knife as a graduation gift. He plans to go on to college and study marine mechanics and underwater welding. I had a feeling that the Salt series would be an ideal choice for him given his interests. Several months ago, I had shown him my Salt I and he was very intrigued with the rustproof qualities of H1 steel. He had asked me, “Do they make anything bigger than that?” I had told him about the Pacific Salt and he said, “Oh man, that would be perfect.” Bearing this in mind, I decided to get him the Pacific Salt black-on-black. Judging from his enthusiastic reaction when I gave it to him, I'm thinking he likes it.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. In fact, this is his first Spydie. After he opened it, he immediately clipped it to his pocket and said he was "definitely going to use this thing." Might be too early to tell for sure, but perhaps we have another new convert.
