    A Domino that rattles

So, ordered the blue weave carbon fiber Domino shortly after it came out and have carried it off and on since then. It recently developed a bit of a rattle, and after checking every single torn screw on the knife I cannot figure out what it could be. Has anyone else experienced this? Or should I just send it to W&R to have them take a look?

Many folks much more knowledgeable than I am on here so I thought it would not hurt to ask the group.

    Many thanks.

Does it rattle when open, or closed? If it rattles when closed, I'm thinking maybe the bearing in the pivot is loose. Just a guess.
    Time for another !

Yep, it's likely probably the lanyard tube. The lanyard tube is an artifact I think would be best left off the domino and southard and serves no real purpose on those two knives except to create a rattle. Take it out and you still have a hole to put a lanyard in if you so desire.

Per Spyderco's suggestion I fixed the rattle in my Southard by using "Blue" loctite. I used a toothpick to grab a smal drop and then transferred it to the seam between the lanyard tube and the scale. Worked like a champ. I hope your rattle is something simple like this and that the loctite solves your problem.

Thanks for all the replies. I believe it is the lanyard tube and I am going to try the loctite plan this evening. Any way to remove the tube without disassembly?
