    Can you identify this knife?

I was told this knife is a spyderco and was made for the Tokyo police department but I can't find any information on it anywhere online. Anybody have any ideas on what it is?

It's a fake. It doesn't even resemble any models Spyderco has ever produced.

Mainly through years of being a Spyderco enthusiast. It also lacks the trademark round hole (which, admittedly, a couple Spydies and the Solo knives also lacked and therefore isn't a dead giveaway, but is a strong indicator) and the black widow design is very common on cheap knockoffs. True, there may be a Spyderco model or two I'm not aware of, but I'm 99.99999999999% sure this isn't a real Spyderco. Quantum physics demands that I allow for a small amount of uncertainty.

    Exclamation Fake

    Hi Folks!

    Totally FAKE.

AFAIK there's only one Spyderco without the Round Hole, but there's not even one with a thumbstud.

But the truth is, with this one it doesn't even matter. Even as a fake one, this is a pantagruelic crappy fake.

Tokyo police dept eh? That's a good one!

I've seen those fakes before. They cost about $4-$6 at Gun shows.

    Hi Dakine,

    Welcome to our forum.

The model shown is not a Spyderco.

Is it a knock off made in Japan, or is it from somewhere else?

Its most likely made in China. The fact that it doesn't have a round hole, a spyderco logo, or resemble any Spyderco past or present should raise flags.

Those have been on ebay, and also reported them to Ebay as fake. Item usually gets sold before ebay does anything. After many many repeated listings, and more and more reported as a fake listing, they get cut off and just open under a different listing name.
