    pimped tuff with ironwood

    Hello everyone,

a good customer of mine asked me to make a custom ironwood handle for his spyderco tuff, i normally don't do custom work on knives that are not made by me but he is a great guy and a good customer,
i ended up having alot of fun making it.

i also rounded the corners of the Ti liner and gave it a stonewash finish then anodized it bronze, all of the stainless hardware was heat colored bronze as well.

    thanks for looking,

Let me be the first to say "That's beautiful!" Nice work, Lee. Love the bronzed effects on the back scale, pivot, and pocket clip. It kind of has a steampunk motif going on now.

That looks great...the stonewashing, edge-easing, & bronzing has combined to make a work of art that reminds me of an antique well-used hand tool. I have an old claw hammer that my Dad gave me and the handle on it looks amazingly similar to the ironwood scale you've crafted for that Tuff. I think you have captured the spirit of the Tuff. And best of all, it now looks "broke in" and yet still has a tremendous life of utility ahead of it. Well done!!!
