    I checked one of those last year. A close friend bought it, and I can say it looked pretty nice.

    But after used it for a weekend it just seemed Ok. I mean, those are nice blades, but kinda look like some dressy version of Emerson.

    I would be interested in test driving one. I like 14c28N and the HRC seems higher than I remember others doing it. You are correct that it seems expensive so I would expect the quality and performance to be fairly high.

    14c28n is pretty good steel because that's what's used in a lot of the Kershaw knives. I usually steer clear of the AUS 8, and all the cr13mov Chinese Steels though.

    It's kind of cool because the "Bad Monkey" knife is made through Zac Brown's knife company, "Southern Grind." He also produces a bowie knife made from old sawmill blades called the "Grandaddy bowie."
