At least he's "honest" about it being...well, fake.

I thought someone from Spyderco had to contract EBay to have it removed? And that we were just supposed to put up the link so they could take care of it?

I don't know, but any ebay user can report a fraudulent item. I figure the more reports from users, the faster they will get shut down.

I think I read on here that EBay doesn't usually listen to average users - as they could just be competitors trying to get someone else's auction shut down. The manufacturers have some special way to get it axed quick.

As a general rule, eBay does not act on claims of counterfeit merchandise from anyone except the manufacturer of the genuine article. However, if someone openly admits in their listing that they're selling a fake, then eBay may very well pull the auction, and possibly even take action against the seller, if it is brought to their attention.

Reported as well. I don't know if it helps or not, but it's worth trying to shut down the auction.

Regardless of the honesty of the eBay vendor, as it's a deliberate counterfeit I think it should ideally be confiscated and destroyed, otherwise sooner or later someone WILL be conned. If that can't be done, eBay should pull the plug on both the item and vendor, otherwise aren't they're profiting from trade in unlawful goods?
