    Best Spydie for eat

    Hi there guys

Wich one is the best Spydie for eat in public? My coworkers are non-knife people.

I am searching for something rust resistant / stainless, non frightning and small.

I always carry a dragonfly, H1 SE and VG10 FRN versions. I have a Delica aswell in VG10 with saber grind, but is a little bit big and because of its grind, it's not quite good to slice fruits and veggies.

I'm interested in the CAT model or maybe the Delica in the FFG.

    Tnx in advance!!

    All yours, Jose

Centofante Memory is a superb slicer and would be an elegant choice.

I would think you'd chip a tooth trying to eat a Spyderco. ;-)

Seriously though, I would think a Kiwi would be non-threatening to the masses.

What about the Native? Too tactical-looking?

Centofante is marvelous, but I don't have enough money for that yet. The Orange Pingo is a good option to consider.

    Tnx for all your advices!!

Have you looked at either the Chaparral or the Centofante? Bothe come with 2mm stock so they will slice just about anything you throw at them!

Do you mean the Centofante 3, or the Memory? You may want to specify, as he's ruled out the Memory already.

I must make a suggestion of the Caly 3 for a classy look and the Kopa is just a larger more dressy Dargonfly (if you can find one).

Chaparral. It carries less obtrusively in a pocket than a Dragonfly, is classy/elegant looking (I have non-knife people ask me fairly regularly to see it to check out the carbon fiber), and because the blade is only 2mm and FFG it's one hell of a slicer. It's hard to tell from the side on pictures, but the blade is quite a bit thinner than the blade on a Dragonfly even...part of what makes it ride so unobtrusively in pocket. I've used it to cut up my lunch at work loads and it's very good.

Caly 3, Delica FFG and Centofante 3 are all good suggestions. A Mule team knife works very well if you can swing a fixed blade.

Be careful who you loan the Centofante 4 to. I loaned one to someone to cut her sandwich in half. I wasn't paying attention until she said "This isn't very sharp" Not sharp? WTF? I keep it at least shaving sharp at all times. I look over and she's using the spine to try to cut her sammy. Thank goodness she didn't push on the "spine" with her thumb! That could have been messy.

The Delica in FFG works great for cutting food. I set a 30 degree convex edge on mine and it's amazing for, well, delicate tasks like cutting food. And mine is in a friendly orange color. I don't feel too bad about taking it out at work.
