Damn fine looking knife. If I had more use for fixed blades I'd likely buy one.

I am interested to handle one. Wonder if we can get a forum pass around with one of these when they first come out?

Congrats, Stuart! It must be a very rewarding feeling to see your own design in its final Spyderized form. I would love to see some pictures!

Kitchen's got plenty of uses for a fixed blade Certainly where I use mine most. Although the Serrata is a bit thick for my uses in the kitchen, I'm still interested in it! Always fun to try out a new steel, never had cast 440C before and reading about it is making me excited. Hopefully I'll have enough funds in place when it drops!

EDIT: Reading through this old thread has made me really want to get one, it was a bad idea to look it up

That is a good-looking blade Stuart! Condor Tool and Knife Company uses investment cast 440C in their Dendritic double-edge knife and it seems to be good quality but super hard to sharpen! I have the 8 inch blade and the blade did not have a passable edge at all! I'm interested in your knife and can't wait for the roll-out! I alco have a Randall No. 5 in 440C but is not drop-forged. Love well-tempered 440C! About 10 years ago I had a friend make me a custom fixed blade knife also made with 440C with Cocobolo scales and red spacers. I'm going to get a closer look at your website later. It's too late now!

I'd really like to pick one up, for the shape and especially the cast 440.
