Well, it depends on what exactly you mean by 'like the Military', if we're talking blade shape and ergonomics the obvious response is para-Military. If your question hints at construction simplicity and liner lock reliability, lots of Spydercos qualify but the first that comes to mind is the Sage 1.

Paramilitary 2. It's in high demand and sells out fast. It's my personal favorite.

The original Paramilitary was designed to be a smaller version of the Military. It has sort of taken on a life of it's own now with the Para 2, but that knife is definitely the closest you can get to a Military in a smaller package.

Not exactly "like" the Millie as much as the Para, but try an Endura if you have not. I personally do not care for the Para, but I am in a very small minority

There really isn't anything like a smaller Military. The Paramilitary may have been intended to fulfill that role, but the Compression Lock changes the knife enough to make it miss the mark in my opinion. The Military is simply in a class all by itself.

For me its big enough.to handle most of my tasks, I like tip down on large folders, and I like the lightness with strength that the nested liners result in.

Can you live without the linerlock? Get the Para2! If you cannot, you're stuck with a different blade shape! If you like the blade shape, but you do not like the compression lock, you're stuck with the endura! there are many other choices but it depends what you are willing to give on, and what you are not willing to lose!

To the original poster, it would be helpful to know which aspects of the Military you especially want to see in a smaller knife. The reason being that there is no one knife that is just like the Military in a smaller size, but there are many Spydercos that share elements of the Military design. Which elements matter most to you?

    Light weight?
    Liner lock?
    Blade shape/blade grind?
    G-10 handles?
    Tip down right hand carry?
    Big handle?
