    Knifecenter XHP Native?

Just got an email about KCs exclusive brown Native with XHP, hadn't known this was in the works. Opinions?

I must have missed that other thread as well. Got the email this morning and was surprised, as I hadn't heard of the brown FRN, XHP Native lightweight before either.

Somewhat similar to the CPM-S30v one but more brown . It looks like a nice knife, I'd probably buy one due to the color and rarity alone over the normal production model.

Ordered one when I got home from work late last night. Looks like it will be a great little knife!

Mine will be at my doorstep when I get home today. I will be sure to put up some pictures. I really couldn't pass on it for only $10 more than the black FRN / S30V version.

And, at least for now, a truly great price.

I got a notice of this one too. I dont know if I will get one cause I heard that s30 is better than the xhp steel. Is that true?

Sorry for the question but not a steel nut! LOL

Personally, I like XHP better than S30V. We all have read how well S30V holds it's toothy working edge after it loses that initial razor sharpness. In my uses with the Manix 2 and Mule team, XHP holds a razor edge longer and a working edge almost as long as S30V. Better or worse, not by any means however the brown is worth the price upgrade IMO.

They picked one with the backlock-switch protruding to shoot. I'm a stickler for flush lockswitches! Just saying.

UNderstandable, but I could care less as long as the lock is solid. I have always had supertight lockups on the FRN Natives I have used and handled. More so than even my Calys or Delicas.

They may have 100's of them for that pretty shot. I agree, I have a few Spydies like that and their tight as any. It's aesthetics/F&F.

Maybe that's a feature on this model.

Let me know how you like it, that's not a bad price at all.

So if you grip it hard, will it disengage the blade?
