Anything else in Delica Price Range

    Hey Guys,

Anything else in the Delica price range worth having for overall quality, blade steel, construction, weight etc. Or is the Delica the way to go?

    Thanks!

Centofante3. Dragonfly, but it is a little smaller.
I prefer Native LW due to presence of finger choil and better fit into my hand, but I believe it is slightly more expensive.

No. But I don't see anything about FFG in your question =). In this case how about Persistence? Heavier but cheaper, I used one as EDC it is absolutely fine knife.

Endura, for only five bucks more. I prefer its size.

Native frn, definitely! Upgraded s30v steel also. The blade is not ffg, but has it's own type of grind, hollow grind on the bottom with a false-edge grind from the tip to about half-way down the blade! I love it, although it may not be as great a slicer as an ffg blade!

Definitely check out the Centofante 3. IMO way better than the Delica.

Good call on the Centofante 3, another great option.

Mainly for me it's the ergonomics. The Delica has those "points" in the bottom finger area of the grip, intended to be like finger grooves, but my fingers just don't fit. My index and middle finger are too big to fit into the front "choil", and so my middle finger rides on that point just behind it, which pushes my ring finger back into the next one. It's just not comfortable for me at all. The Centofante has a smooth contoured handle, very neutral feeling, which is more comfortable for me. It's also a much better slicer, as the blade is one of the thinnest in Spyderco production right now at 2mm. It could be argued that the Delica is likely stronger than the Centofante, especially since it only has one single nested liner, compared to the Delica's two, but I wouldn't expect to be doing much lateral/twisting action on a 2mm blade, so that's irrelevant to me. Lastly, I just think it's a sexier looking knife. Heck, it has a palladium bug in the handle....palladium is the same metal that Iron Man uses in his arc reactor...tell me that's not cool lol.

For me though, I have the Centofante 4, which is pure wharnie awesomeness. Unfortunately, it's discontinued.

I have to agree with the Centofante 3 suggestion. Great knife with incredible weight to cutting edge ratio. I have mine in my pocket today!
Don't mess with the Spyder because you think you're fly.

Yup centofante 3 definitely sees more pocket time than my delica. It's one hell of a slicer too!

A lot of people love them. I personally find myself passing it up to carry because it is just too small for me.

I also can't help with the Dragonfly, but I feel the UK Pen Knife deserves a mention. I picked one up on a whim and its getting nearly all the pocket time lately. For 99% of my typical use, I'll never miss the lock... Great little knife.
