Thumbs up Swick 4 Leaf Blade

Is it too soon to ask when the Swick 4 will be released, and will it have that swedge as in the previous edition?

Hasn't been ground yet. Should have a small swedge.

    Finally some news on it...

I am going to grab one of these for a nice matched pair. Though I am tempted to get a second wharnie just to see if I can get a nice clean straight edge and crisp tip...my hawkbill-ish one is a bit less than I was hoping for.

Probably not so much this time... Just seems like some folks got some more hawkbill and/or rounded tip than others. Maybe one could ask Spyderco to find one more to their liking by calling and speaking to someone directly? Dunno, just a thought...

So, any new information on these? I just bought my swick 3 and love it so far, but I'd love one in a leaf shaped blade.

Awesome news! Will it have the same handle as the 3 so I can get some halpern slabs?

I'm eager to buy one. If it was carbon steel I would buy two. I use neck knives camping and hiking and s30v just can't compete with some good old 1095 for that use. Love the concept but am not the biggest fan of s30v in general. Not gonna stop me from getting one though.

We might be waiting for the Swick3 to sell out? Don't know.

I'm sure it is somewhere on their busy to do list at the Golden facility.

Who knows, maybe it will come from Taiwan like the MT18 if need be.

Will there be a Swick4 drop point or hawkbill?

Does that depend on the sales of the current model?

As a drop point, I think it would be a fantastic EDC/Utility blade.

I believe it has been stated that it will be a leaf blade.

A couple of months ago we had a discussion on here about doing one of these in H1...possibly with a hawkbill. I would probably get one of those for a necker while fishing. Might appeal to the sd guys too.

That would probably be my first H1 knife if they did!
