I finally got the time to put my own edge on my cruwear millie so this is now going into my pocket. I finished my bevels with 400 grit moldmasters because a couple of my stones broke loose from the aluminum mounts and I could not get a proper progression for my usual polish.

Thanks, feels like a buzzsaw. I just can't get the same kind of edge from diamonds that I can get from the moldmasters. Must be a technique issue.

    Glad to be back.

Things are slowly getting back to normal. Politics is not helping but we Pinoys are resilient. I couldn't make it to the hard hit areas but I did what little I could, by volunteering with a civic organization, to pack some goods and clothes destined for Tacloban.

As an off topic, it was just good timing that I bought a little baofeng transciever and I happened to reconnect with old friends who are radio amateurs who were in the thick of things in the aftermath. I now realize why radio is the communications of choice during emergencies. The hams just went to bat and delivered during the first few, horrible days. Radio was the only link to the battered areas.

I had a strong feeling that you'd been involved with the rescue efforts. I'm sure it's been a lot of long, hard work for all concerned, and that of course is just speaking of the lucky ones. I think I can speak for all the forumites in saying that we hope normal days are just around the corner for you and your countrymen.

Thank you most sincerely for your sentiments. My efforts were much too little. I am humbled by the outpouring of help from the whole world.

its at 15dps but the edge has a patina and you can only see the sharpened micro bevel from the SM. so the part you can see is the 40 degree setting

Not a very good photo haha

Yes, it only has one screw. I used spray adhesive on the back of the clip to help hold it in place. So far it shows no signs of moving.

    That's nice.

Have you tried the rubber band trick on your sharpmaker? For knives that I have rebeveled at 30 inclusive, I use the 40 setting but with rubber bands on the top of the rods. I estimate the microbevel to be around 36 and there's a world of difference performance wise from the 40 setting.
