I understand this for a fixed blade, if your working in the woods and you really need some contrast there, but in the city, no WAI.

I guess he can still read your post. He can no longer reply though.

Congratulations on 2K! I really had a hard time sleeping until I put my own edge on it.

Thanks, I do need to thank travis too. He reminded me of the pinching together of the sharpmaker rods. The bevel is now at around 26/36. From 30/40 to 26/36 makes a huge difference in cutting performance. And it's S90V.

    Actually, Jalapenos!

I am planning on testing other peppers to see if I get a color variant. Maybe banana, bell, anaheim, habanero? We will see. I actually discovered in early testing that I was able to polish the flat of the blade using black strop compound followed by green and the shinnier finish resisted the patina when I tried to cut an apple a few days before the peppers. I was astounded. I am going to try to take this step further on my Caly 3.5 to see if I can completely resist the turning when cutting something more acidic. I will keep you posted.

My GB patinaed fast when I first started using it but I polished it out with glo metal polish. To this day, itreally hasn't taken a deep patina.

I need one too. I would do many, many things to get an M4 Millie at a reasonable price.

Yeah, not in this lifetime. Last one I saw on the bay went for over $500. That's too rich for my blood. It's an awesome knife but I'd sooner get a GB and a couple other knives for that mind of money.
