Sal - any chance there will be a ParaMilitary 2 with a fully serrated edge offered anytime soon?

pretty pleeeeease...
+1. I would go for a 40(serrated)/60 (plain) combo edge as well.
The only combo edge I'd consider buying would be all but the last 1 inch or 3/4 inch serrated. What is that, 66% serrated, 33% plain?
I don't think I specified which end was plain edge. Yeah, there was talk about the close end being PE and it was interesting, I don't know if the Para 2 is the perfect model to try it, though.
I forget what the examples of knives that have been done like that were.
One knife with the PE nearest the handle is the PS One-Handed Trekker from Victorinox.
I just don't know if the look would sell. Growing up some of my friends wore their pants backwards thanks to a petulant hip hop duo. It just didnt catch on though (luckily).

I am down for the traditional CE or full SE with a half inch or so plain edge at the end. I can see the merits of the non-traditional configuration but traditional works better for my purposes. I also don't want to rock the boat too much as I have been wanting this ever since the Para2 came out.
That pant thing sounds a bit form over functionI need the zip at the front on acount of needing OHO for number 1s. Happy with THO for the less common number 2
. Mind you, at least they had them pulled up to somewhere near their waistline, unlike these days (I'm starting to sound like a grumpy old man now
).
Of course you are right that a SE configured like that would look a bit odd, but I think it would be really practical. I use the edge closest to the handle for push cuts and the belly for draw cuts. I've desire to rock the boat either, I'd just be interested to try a Spyderco like that.
I am afraid the SE, despite its superior function for most tasks, is not "cool" enough for the masses who buy a Para 2 to open mail and packages. Just like my dimming hopes that Spyderco would develop a deep pocket clip that would fit on this knife, it looks like SE will only exist in aftermarket mods.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...
I buy one! I love a fully serrated Military, I'm sure a fully serrated Para 2 would excellent as well.
With Christmas around the corner they should consider doing a gift set of the Para 2 along with a Military model with matching handles and blades with top notch steel like XHP, 3V or S90V and have them both Spyderedged. I would definitely be in line for that gift set. That would make a super gift for all you parents, brothers, sisters who have loved ones in the Military. That truly would be a home run over the center field wall with at least 2 men on base.
That also would be one helluva of marketing strategy for making the Spyderedge very popular again. Definitely something worth considering. I bet I'm not alone with that one.
Long Live the SPYDEREDGE Spyderco Hawkbills RULE!!
