Granted, it's not got a very pointy tip, but it will penetrate well because of the swedge.
The recurve pulls the blade into what you're cutting somewhat, and the belly is thin at the edge because of the height
of the hollow grind. And by lifting the back of the knife and using the front portion or the blade near the tip, it works well on flat surfaces like a cutting board
As far as the handle goes, it's one of the thicker spydercos that I own, but it's very hand filling and comfortable.
The texturing of the g10 is very pleasing to the eyes and the hand.
The pistol grip shape of the handle is also very ergonomic in my opinion.
A 14 mm opening hole, and it's relationship to the pivot makes opening very easy, whether slowly thumbing the blade open or flicking. The Zulu is also one of the smoothest openers I own.
Fit and finish is superb.
I carry the knife tip up, and this leaves a good inch of the handle above the pocket, which doesn't bother me, but some might consider too revealing.
Tip down carry only leaves around a half inch showing over the pocket.
A flat, untextured spot on the back g10 scale where the bottom of the clip rides decreases friction in and out of the pocket.
All in all, I love this knife!
I hope this helps in your decision.
