Modded Police G-10 serration removal / new grind

So I have this Police G-10 that had a broken tip....Well, this is what happens when work is slow and the espresso maker is humming. It had a bit of a weird sheepsfoot tip that was put on it .....Never really loved it. I was a bit frustraded and this poor little guy sat on my shelf for 2 years, I almost threw it out... Glad I didn't.

Finally, all of the serrations are off

That's a sweet looking police! Great job on the MOD. That's sickening that that you almost got rid of it

Thanks Guys, I'm pretty happy with it.... It needs a little more work but it's about 90% done. If i can drill the pins, i'll put some nicer scales on it.

I love the g/10 Police in fully serrated.

You made a cool user out of it but I like it the way it was.

Thanks guys, I found myself not being a fan of serrations and since the blade had already been "re-tipped" I figured, what the heck... I really like to EDC this blade now. I'm thinking of either black canvas Micarta or an OD Green g-10 for scales?

    Any suggestions?

I've had my eye out for a cheap Police for just this reason. It's a great blade for making a wharnie out of.

First off, props to DCMartin for a great mod job on his Police.

Now, my apologies to everyone for hijacking this thread a bit. JayfromMN, I was curious why you like serrated blades so much. Is it because of your particular cutting needs? I have a couple serrated Spydie hawkbills I use to cut vines than threaten to strangle every other plant in our back yard, but aside from that, I stick mostly to plain edges because I find them more generally usefull.

Just curious about your perspective on serrated blades v. plain.
