Thumbs up Anyone else love the texture of Chinese G10?

I bought a Resilience yesterday after finally finding one in stock while I had money to afford it. It's a huge and well-designed knife and I can't put it down.

One thing I really love about it is the texture on the G10. It's much less harsh than that used in Golden, Taichung and Seki City models. It reminds me of the cotton-paper used in painters' hats and to wrap computer monitors in their packaging.

I've noticed it before in my Ambitious and Tenatious as well as my Byrd Crossbill and Wings Slipit, but there's just so much of it in the Resilience! Does anybody else really enjoy this less-aggressive texture like I do?

Not as much as it "fills in."

Don't get me wrong, it DOES wear down VERY slowly. But, it fills in even faster. A lot of people will carry a knife for 2 or so months and think that the G10 has worn down, when in actuality the valleys have been filled in with gunk and are now almost as tall as the "peaks."

A quick cleaning of the scales with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and the scales are almost like new again, with renewed grippiness and aggressiveness. Again, they do wear down, but not nearly as quickly as many people seem to think.

The Chinese G-10 does feel nice. It offers good grip without the rough/harsh sensation. For a user knife, if I had the choice of Chinese G-10 or USA G-10, I would probably go for the Chinese G-10.

I prefer the feel of the Golden G-10 myself, but I do love the Resilience and the G-10 texture is nice on that as well. It's a nice big knife that's a great slicer and is big enough to handle most jobs (cut 4" fiberglass insulation with ease and sharpened right up afterward). Also since it is affordable I have no problem putting it to hard use.
The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Not a big fan of the Chinese G-10. I prefer it much grippier like the sprint Manix 2 with CTS-BD30P.

I love the G10 on my Tenacious and Resilience as well. The one on my Manix 2 just feels more grippier than the one the Resilience has. But overall I love both and I don't use it to do anything that would risk my hand sliding from the handle.

I love the fine texture on my Manix XL.
